That sure sounds like you were judging them on how intelligent they seem to me.

    Just sayin'...

Perhaps you did not understand my question, then. If we treat evil politely, what are we really accomplishing by it?

Do your responses change based on the sex/gender of the poster?

My response are generally based on tone of voice/message.

I'm more likely to respond to snark negatively and more likely to respond to an honest question positively regardless of gender/cultural identity.

You want to yell at people that you think are spouting 'evil' - go ahead.

I prefer to have things remain civil as long as possible.

Getting people's backs up accomplishes little.

Besides, sometimes people believe bad things because they simply do not know any better and/or do not as yet have the capacity to understand how they are wrong.

Yelling at them is not likely to get them to listen to your point of view - it probably will just make them defensive and make them want to admit their errors less so.

When I first joined DP I didn't make my sex/gender clear immediately because I didn't want to be judged based on whether I was a male or female. It didn't last long because as I've mentioned in the past I'm a little bit sexist, I love being female (sex/gender) and I think it would suck to be a guy so not declaring that I'm female was too much for me.

The poll question I have for you is:

Do you respond differently if you know whether the person you're responding to is a guy or a girl?

For an extended discussion list the reasons why?
Probably. Even if only just a little. I talk to them differently in person, so who's to say I don't do the same over the internet? If I do I don't do it consciously, though.

The traditions of one select culture out of thousands that have existed, during a very brief period, comparable to the blink of an eye, in the long sprawl of human history?

Actually, not even that. Based on everything I've read from you over the time you've been here, your belief of "tradition" never actually existed in historical fact. I think your LARP'ing has messed with your concept of reality.

Personally, I don't model my life after dead or imaginary people, and I certainly don't take advice from people who do, but whatever.
