No favorites or predictions as of yet. Christie looks like the best on the list up top though.

    Re: 2016 Election

I said Chris Christie, as I have always had a great deal of respect for him as a governor and a man. Of course, he has to play the game to make it at that level, and he's appropriately started, attacking Rand Paul and the like. I dislike that this is how things go, but I have always felt Christie was a man willing to compromise, and regardless, always has good intentions and the people in mind.

But things tend to change once someone decides they want to run for president. So we will see how I feel closer to the election, assuming he is still a contender then.
Be skeptical of anyone who wears a political label - party or ideology - with pride. Most of our problems are because people love to "debate" (it isn't debate, but they pretend it is), but are not interested in developing solutions. Solutions require empathy, thought, and compromise, and most folks aren't interested.

I'm not sure it matters at this point.

Too early. But, to play, of those listed that I know enough about to consider. Christie. Can be reasonable and pragmatic.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.
