Yes, that's correct. Our culture is also inundated with American culture too since about 80% of Canada's population lives within 100 miles of the American border.

I just wanted to say that we already have an 'Andy' and he's very dapper. I'm pretty sure this calls for a Death Match.

In return we get a day dedicated to a Black civil rights leader. Are blacks the only people in America that have had to struggle for equal rights? Have not Asians, Hispanics, Native Americans and others also had to struggle? So why is the day named MLK instead of Civil Rights Day, thus reflecting and honoring all who struggled for civil rights instead of only recognizing black peoples struggles? Why was it necessary to reduce Honoring of two white men to give "honor" to a black man?
Only because it's new. Memorial Day and Labor Day had the same kinds of noble beginnings as well. (In a sense, so did Washington's and Lincoln's Birthdays until we combined them into Presidents Day.) Give it time, and we will water down MLK Day in the same way. Corporate America hasn't had sufficient time to work its magic yet.
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

People can celebrate X-mas four days earlier, no other changes are required. A benefit is that it gives everyone more time to recover before New Years.

You mean Obama-King Day? (just give it a few years--you'll see I'm right)

They might call it King-Obama Day to imply he was America's only King.....
