what's new is that he was re-elected ... this past November ...

Well, the competition had issues too. It's been a while since as a nation, we vote for someone. Lately, we all end up voting against someone.

better that than no say at all, although with the influence of money what it is ...
 
Cabinet? Sure. First Lady? No.
 
No vote, choices too limited...depends.....a qualified distant cousin....YES
His parents...or wife,....or children ...HELL NO !
I am reminded of The Kennedys, John and Robert...and they may not be the only ones.
The old time reasons were favoritism and nepotism.....the fear of..
 
I don't see why not.

They still have to be approved by Congress, and if they are qualified for the job and the President trusts their counsel and abilities there should be no problem.

Robert Kennedy was an excellent Attorney General (and would have made a fine President too!).
