    Depends...
    I would not hang the parents.....even if they do ignore the signs.....there is, I believe , some help out there.
    I strongly believe that every baby, every child is born absolutely innocent....that criminal behavior is acquired from their e environment and the people around the child......
    Of course, I was fortuniate.........many are less so and this is a problem....
    We need more, IMO, "early intervention", more pre kindergarten...
    more = adequate, IMO.

    Interesting.....
    True, of course, that the parents cannot be around all the time.....and parenting is never 100%.
    Then society must help.....and does NOT by allowing guns to be too easy to acquire.....And if that works not, then at least we have tried..
    Today, we are not trying hard enough...

    As parents, I agree, we aren't

    Parents are responsible for raising their children properly, which in far too many cases, they don't. I think we need to hold parents more accountable to be parents, not breeding machines that then have too much to do to raise their offspring.
    There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

    Obviously a parent cannot always be held responsible because no matter how hard a parent tries any kid has the ability to still be rebellious, but on the flip side it is a parents responsibility to be aware and proactive.

    I think within reason they should be.

    If there were warning signs and it was something serious, definitely. And perhaps take into account whether or not the child/children have been in trouble before, how many times, what for, etc.
