Well..As alcohol advertising is going to be banned...banning the sale of alcohol between 10pm and 6am...I would say your AK government is preparing you to becoming an Islamic state...

but relax

turkey is still more secular than most of so called modern western countries

the west would be happy if turkey was another saudi arabia ,which is easier to exploit

you can exploit ignorant and bigoted ones better than educated ones

Joining the Islamic federation that includes Finland, Sweden, and many places in the USA.

(I am not in favor of this, but let's not overstate our case).

Regarding the topic, here is a simple solution: Turks have to decide, once and for all, what is their national drink. If it is raki, Turkey is a Western nation. If they vote for ayran - sorry:)

By Medusa's logic, it must be a plot hatched between Germany and US: they want to sell more Mercedes-Benzes, and we want to lure more free-spending students to our colleges.

I'm struggling to see how this relates to my previous post. I was talking about free speech (or lack thereof) not the Kurdish issue. Though i wonder if anyone can tell me who this man is

I was in Kusadasi 2 years ago on general election day...the bars there were forbidden to serve alcohol, even to tourists..under the threat of massive fines and closure of their bars for a month..(in high season).

As I don't look remotely Turkish and neither does my partner..what did they think we were going to do??

Rock in to the polling station drunk and vote for Mickey Mouse??
