I dunno and don't really care...but why do you keep trying to hijack the thread?

Am I? I'm just responding to what you're saying.

So as long as the government doesn't share your medical records with the world you have no problem with the government having access to your medical records?

Btw, when was the last time the government got access to something like this and didn't share it with the world soon after? Never? Yeah, pretty much.
I have yet to see any evidence that the government has shared my medical records with the public or employers or banks or anyone really. They would have to get them from my doctor and he isn't going to share them without my consent or supeona.

The closest the government will ever get to my medical records is the insurance company or a doctors invoice. If you've ever looked at an insurance or doctors invoice...they don't go into much detail if at all...not even on the cost. I have to tell ya, I wouldn't mind seeing in detail what the doctors are charging for so I could make more informed choices as a consumer. I'd hate to think I'm paying for a $300 band aid when I could get one at Rite-aid for a dollar or less.

Yeah, you keep believing that. In the mean time they have know of what you have had done and they know plenty of information about your lifestyle and your condition. Good luck keeping the dog in the cage when you allow it to free roam.

Do you smoke? If you do, go ahead and check the non-smoker box on your company's insurance forms. See if they don't crawl up your ass like Elton John's hamster.

Yes, Josie, you are...with irrelevant questions and pictures and everything...

So you must REALLY hate the idea of Obamacare.

Do you agree that the federal government and IRS will have access to your medical records, invoices, etc.?

"I want you to stay out of my bed and uterus, but also pay for my birth control and abortions!" Makes no sense.

Obamacare is funded by taxpayers.

Sexually curious/adventurous people don't have a problem with it? ??

Isn't it odd how some of the loudest voices saying "Stay out of my private life!" are the biggest advocates for massive government intervention in their lives?

Isn't odd that you don't have a credible response or rebuttal to anything I said in response to your off topic irrelevant unsubstantiated tea party talking points?

Well, I sure hope my tax dollars aren't paying for ulcer medication and stomach operation caused by your worrying over something that hasn't happened and probably never will.

We were discussing healthcare. How was I off topic?

And just saying that I didn't have credible responses doesn't make it so. Why are you suddenly accusing me of hijacking the thread instead of discussing the government's intrusion in your healthcare?

You know, as long as states are given the choice to "opt out" of this, it's ultimately a non-issue. People who want their business out for the world to see can stay in an Obamacare state, while people who value privacy and taxes that aren't regressive can live in an opt-out state.

I doubt many people ever thought the government would at some point give themselves the authority to know what people are doing towards their health years ago and yet that is exactly what they know today.

We were discussing sex and marital privacy and out of nowhere you brought up Obamacare. After I answered your first question you then tried to move the goal post with more questions until you finally reduced yourself to a tea party talking point and after it was pointed out to you...you now try to feign ignorance.

So if you want a repeat of how you hijacked the thread with your fallacies, then go back and read the thread.

I doubt many people thought they wouldn't be able to afford health care unless they bought health insurance, either...but here we are....at the mercy of private insurance companies with little or no consumer protection from being denied coverage.

Because Obamacare is an intrusion on your private life. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean that I am hijacking the thread. You see?

If you want to look at it that way then everything in life can be an intrusion into one's private life. But the government is the only legal protection we have in preventing private entities from invading our private lives and using our private information against us. So if you know of a better protection for privacy and individual rights than the constitution or the government, then lets hear it.

Liberals think that the government can intrude on your financial life without intruding on your personal life - like there's some ethical force field they can't penetrate.

It's actually quite cute to see.

Well, why don't we just go full Socialism then? After all, we can trust the government to protect us, right?

I doubt you can figure out a way that means anything to my argument.

Well what would you prefer, a government that protects everyone's rights or only those with lots of money?

As in, full Socialism is a "government that protects everyone's rights"?

I doubt you can figure out a way that means anything to my argument.
I doubt you had a valid argument to begin with and thats why you can't rebut mine. So I'll take your weasel response as your concession.

Are you invoking "socialism" to flame bait me, Josie? Sure looks like it.

It is documented that unmarried women vote mostly for the DNC candidate so just out of curiosity I am wondering how that stacks up in here.

It doesn't stack up very well, as evidenced by my own voting record.

Oh goody - another thread where people don't know the difference between a "right" and a "privilege".

I want healthcare! It's my right! Gimme!

Are you invoking "socialism" to flame bait me, Josie? Sure looks like it.

Um......no............ Are you crying "flame bait" and "hijack" because you're uncomfortable with answering any question that makes you think a little deeper about your political viewpoint?

I doubt you had a valid argument to begin with and thats why you can't rebut mine. So I'll take your weasel response as your concession.

I have no reason to respond to your argument. In order for it to justify a response from me it would have to somehow attempt to warrant government action.

These partisan-hack polls the OP posts continually should automatically be thrown downstairs. They aren't polls, just hackery.
