    Of course dimples are a birth defect. The majority of the population doesn’t have any! I don’t have any! And most importantly, I think people who do are just plain weird and icky.

    Really, though, I pity them. I mean yeah, I know I’ve heard from a lot of people who do have dimples and they’ve pretty much said that they’re okay with their condition and some even say they like it, but deep down I can tell they have to be suffering.

    Dimples are a genetic defect where the skin and facial muscle don't attach. While I guess you're right that they aren't necessarily a birth defect as some do move, many people are born with dimples that never move, thus a birth defect.
