Personally, I'm of the belief that the motivation for both is motivated primarily by partisan politics, not race.

Born in Miami, Florida in 1971, Marco Rubio is the son of Cuban immigrants. After earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in 1993, he went to the University of Miami for his law degree.
