    Housing poll. What's your situation?

    Just curious.

    Also, if you're comfortable sharing:
    1. What do you pay monthly (rent, mortgage, HOA, taxes)?
    2. How many sq. ft. (total, per occupant, lot size)?
    3. Urban, suburban, rural?

Not sure how to answer-- I live in public housing, so I pay some of my rent and I live independently.

Total rent is $375 per month. I pay $179 of it. I have no idea what my square footage is, but it's a pretty good sized apartment for one bedroom. And I suppose the closest guess for what kind of neighborhood it is is "suburban". It's in downtown Cheyenne, across the street from the public library.

My mortgage has an escrow so...120 per month HOA? Give or take...

1200 per month mortgage. Suburban, and, honestly, not sure about the size...pretty small, though. 2 story with a basement, so...3 story?

It's on a 1/4 acre, which in CT, is a decent size lot.

Re: Housing poll. What's your situation?

i am basically buying my house from my family, and the deal is quite good; they aren't in it to make money at all. the house is small, but it's almost mine. i will stay here for a while unless i'm forced to move due to career circumstances. i'm not eager to do this, as the house has lost roughly half of its value in the time i've been here, and a ton of money has been spent on upkeep. however, i like my house, and it's one of the places where i feel the most comfortable. it's a great bachelor pad, and it's very me.
