Re: Fate of the Boston Bomber

The drawing is a rendering of a SuperMax cell. It serves the purpose of keeping him in rather than keeping him safe although it certainly does that as well.

Much as we hate the criminals in these cells, in some cases it is unsafe for them to be allowed human company. Legally and morally, people in custody must be protected, even from suicide, no matter how we (outsiders) feel about it.

Lets say by some horrible misapplication of justice you were to spend the rest of your life in there or be "put to sleep". Which would you choose?

I don't really know. Probably cheaper than the death penalty though.

Once again, we need to revise the process. Fast track it.

Again, that will never happen because the condemned is allowed an appeals process.

Did I say anything about eliminating that process?

Please don't assume what I mean. Please ask. I get irritated rather easily over such assumptions.

Well how do you propose to "speed up" the process than?

Oh well! That's your problem, not mine.

Re: Fate of the Boston Bomber

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev played a major role in the Boston bombings and he assembled the bombs in his brother's apartment and planted them near the finish line along with his dead brother who was the mastermind of the terror plot and it may be hard for Dzhokhar to escape the death penalty, considering the severity of the crime he committed. But the FBI's current focus is extracting as much information as possible from the surviving bomber and his Chechen connections should be investigated further to prevent another terror plot originating from Chechnya. He told authorities that Katherine Russell "played no role in the April 15 blasts" and Russell's DNA did not match the DNA found on fragments from one of the bombs and the FBI could eliminate her from the list of potential co-consiprators of the terror plot.

I'm not sure how to do it, but the process should not take years.

It'll never happen. It's a very complicated and involved process to make sure that they are getting it right. You want to get it right when you're going to kill someone, no?
