If the State can produce the evidence to prove his guilt to a jury of his peers; then how many died? That many charges for 1st degree murder. How many were injured? That many charges for aggravated assault, attempted murder, etc. Probably would come out to be life in prison without parole.

Shove a stick of dynamite up his ***, light, and enjoy the show. I'd even watch it on pay-per-view with the proceeds going to the victims.

I've never agreed with you before. I actually almost rethought my opinion on this issue as a result of agreeing with you...

However, I see the death penalty as satisfying the same carnal lust on the part of the American society that was exhibited by these terrorists. Just a different misguided justification for killing people.

He's young. He should never be released. He should be placed in a security setting appropriate for his propensity to escape... which seems to be pretty high. He drove into the gunfire of police and over the body of his brother to escape last time. I certainly don't think he's a minimal security risk. But behavior in prison should dictate whether or not you are isolated from human contact. Otherwise, and inmate has nothing to lose.

Just treat him like any other mass murderer.

I'm glad we haven't quite devolved this much just yet.

    Death penalty.

His brother should be tossed in the ocean.

I'm glad we have people like you to sympathize for a piece of **** who knowingly sets a bomb next to an 8-year-old child.

Meh, we all have to evolve sometime. Thanks for the appeal to emotion there, it makes for a strong foundation of an argument.

It's not just an appeal to emotion. The years of life stolen from those killed, plus the life-long suffering to the victims who survived, can't be repaid entirely. So he deserves to suffer as closely as possible to the total suffering he inflicted as he is killed.

By the way, explain why you think letting killers live is "evolving"? If anything, as population grows you think we'd have more reasons to get rid of living scum.

    Certainly cannot.

    Justice is not about revenge.

No, that's more Dark Ages group think. We aggregate the technologies and the means to produce equivalent (if not greater) security for society without necessitating the killing of criminals. Which is why moving away from the Death Penalty is a sign of evolving.
