I found it interesting that she now looks like the woman from Houston who killed her kids (Andrea Yates?, iirc). The poor little homely crazy woman who just couldn't help herself.

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw her.

One of my friends the other day said, "Hey, have you heard about that Jodi Arias lady? Looks like she got the "Josie" makeover in prison. She looks a lot like you!" I wanted to punch him.

you should have told him you had a .25 and a kitchen knife and a shower!!

LOL! Wait.... should I be laughing at that? Oh, who cares. LOL!

I dunno Josie. I remember the day after Bill Clinton was elected the first time, and I was standing in line at the grocery store, when the check-out clerk excitedly told me that I looked just like Hillary. I didn't know whether to say thanks, or smack him. ;)

Some people can't help but be rude. Perhaps you should have.

I remember seeing her on the news a few months ago, and thinking someone had resurrected Yates' old trial with some sort of controversy.

Because it is local I've had more interest than I normally would in the trial. Also, if you knew about it locally through the newspaper you could watch the trial, live, on courtroom cams. No edits, no advertising.

Arias is a quite literally le femme fatale. She can turn it on when she needs to. Her looks can change depending on the need. I don't know the DSM code for ****ing crazy, but that is Arias. In court on television I've seen her give Martinez, the prosecutor, the bad eye. If looks could kill. Manipulative would be her demeanor on one of her off days.

Hooked eh?

Ah ha! The violence thing among Arias resemblers!

Sure he was. Why else would someone compare you to a murderer?

I don't think he was looking at it that way. He just genuinely thinks we look similar. It makes me want to cut my hair and get contacts.

You're much prettier (and a much better person) than her. Don't worry about it so much.

Thanks, Chris. That's sweet of you. :)

I don't think he was being rude, actually. :(

I don't either, hon. She's really a very attractive woman. We're only grossed out by her because she's a soulless, evil murdering bitch. But a damned good looking one.

Nah Josie. Don't spend a minute being worried about that. You're a pretty woman, but it's the inside that really matters.

I don't think they look much alike at all, besides the hair maybe (that's only going by the last picture I saw of Josie in the Tavern though). Josie is much "brighter" looking than that skank. I don't just mean that intelligence wise, but appearance wise as well. I think it's just because they both have straight hair and glasses really.

Anyway.... back to the topic....

I haven't really followed it at all, but I did see some clips of her on the witness stand. Isn't that unusual for a murder suspect to take the stand?

Any time I need an update about the trial, I'll just ask Risky! :2razz: He can tell me everything down to every last detail!

Bah, if found guilty, have mercy on her and give her the needle. Don't see anything that would justify making her suffer with life in prison.

I don't think there's any question as to her guilt. I think it's a matter of death penalty or life in prison, and IMO life in prison is sufficient for her.

Seriously, think of how arbitrarily it's applied when someone like Jeffrey Dahmer DOES NOT get the death penalty (although I know he was killed by a fellow prisoner), and this girl could get the DP. It's a pretty messed up system.

Apparently it is in a murder trial. She confessed to murder before the trial. She was on the stand for 17 days. Perhaps in retrospect Numi, her attorney, may have seconds thoughts. That said, Arias (I don't see the resemblance, by the way, Josie, you are much more attractive) may have demanded to take the stand. She is an attention whore. I don't know that she could stand having a trial about her and of her without being the center of attention in the courtroom.

In addition Arizona is one of a few states that permits the jury to asked the accused questions. Knowing what Numi knew, why would he want to put her on the stand for questions from the jury? The best any lawyer could do is to get her life in prison. He had to know that going in.
