I said yes because the guy was crappy overall. She was not so skilled herself. But, then, that is N. Dakota, so what do you expect?

You know how many people who are boiling with jealousy over this? In 48 hours he's on the set of the NBC Today and the MSNBC Morning Joe getting career coaching from the legendary Tom Brokaw. He also just got hired to cover the Red Carpet for the Academy Awards for an internationally syndicated TV show. A.J. Clemente Gets a Pep Talk from Tom Brokaw - TVNewser

Reminds me of the homeless drug addict in Ohio who short to fame overnight and is now balling out doing voiceovers for Kraft Macaroni.

A quarter of a million dollar a year job showing up for a few hours several times a year.

EDIT: I'm sorry, $1,000,000.00 a year. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...Ted-Williams-radio-star-set-make-million.html

No complaints, I'm happy for him.

that seems more like the industry milking his five minutes of fame. Chances of that developing into a career are likely slim

just the day befroe David Ortiz says out load and did not stutter....this is our f***ing city refering to Boston..and the FCC is A.O.K. with it.....and let us not forget the the big hot mike incident by shotgun joe...."this is a big f***ing deal"......i wish he would have got fired

True but if he manages it right, he can be set for life. Suppose over 3 years he can bring in $3 million. At 10% return, that's $300k a year. I could live off that.

I think people are too worried about **** like that. Honestly. When David Ortiz said what he did, the entire stadium erupted with applause.

No, firing someone for using profanity is idiotic. And it's obvious from the video he didn't realize that the cameras were on. He made a mistake.

Not sure. Since pbrauer made the thread, I have to know if he's Democrat or Republican. That's the deciding factor in his threads.

Of course he should have been.

He did just about the only thing you can't do in news roughly 5 seconds into his news career.

I find it mind boggling that kids on the internet are even surprised about this.

He is so used to being from um you know the east coast, and that lead news story he read was about a fatal ATV crash which happened yesterday.

To him maybe that small town news is some gay ****ing ****.

Yep, get someone to replace him. Not necessary for the F word, but because he really doesn't seem to be all there.

Body language in that brief clip shows a great deal of stress! Wonder what the problem is? :2brickwal:

I feel for him but most people in the professional world would agree that what he said isn't acceptable, even if he said it on accident.

I think it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume that the guy didn't even know that he was on the air, and it was a simple mistake.
