No. I do not believe in firing people for one time mistakes. I support letting people go who seem likely to commit violations in the future. The only way to determine this is observing a repeated pattern.

As sorry as I feel for the guy, he said ****ing **** on tv, which gets the station in HUGE hot water with the FCC! They probably didn't have any choice, or they were looking at a major fine. At least the schlup didn't show his nipple!

Seems like he doesn't have the skills to be an anchor or be on TV. I understand being nervous, but his performance was lousy. In a professional setting it is not appropriate to swear like that, on or off the camera. I support him being fired.

Yep, It's called stage fright. And it can happen to the best of us.

Reminds me of the first gig I had with this rock band. I saw how many cars were in the parking lot of the venue.

I didn't just have butterflies in my stomach, I had psychotic pterodactyls playing punting practice in my stomach.

    Raaaaaalph....

    ....all over the sidewalk.

And that wasn't the only time I puked before a gig.

    Lol @ the top comments.

I wouldn't fire him for dropping the f-bomb, but rather for being a total nub. He doesn't seem equipped to be an engaging, lively news anchor. I'm sure he'll get better sooner or later, hopefully.

Our societal standards have not yet sunk this low. If that's what is in his mind, he is way outside of the norm for the office workplace. Particularly in a blessedly Conservative state like North Dakota. He could easily get a job anywhere in San Francisco, this sort of behavior is a plus down there.

Assuming of course that what he did was not intentional.

There was an immediate negative reaction around town. Furthermore, when that's your first performance out of the gate, that will instantly make them second guess your being there.

lol, talk about a bad way to start a new career. But if the company wants to fire him over that, it's their choice.
