Talk about a sore loser! Watch this video and decide for yourself does this guy look like a sober, mature president, a leader we can count on or does he look like a spoiled little boy you see in the grocery store throwing a fit because mommy refused to buy him something he really really wanted. This is our president?

Video: Barack Obama vents anger over 'shameful' gun control defeat - Telegraph

90% of the people did not support the legislation as he said they did. 90% have supported closing the gun show loophole in a generic flavorless sense but this legislation did more than that. Second, it was a poorly very staged event with a handful of people for him to hug. I am sure he was mad, but that is in no small smart due to his own WH's misdoings. It would have been a far more effective moment had he fielded questions from the press, answered tough questions, and had a little bit less a photo-oppy for the Obama library exhibit moment.

So you are in the spoiled child column?

I'm totally in the "spoiled child" column. It was hillarious to watch. I truly thought I was watching one of my fiance's five year old nephews when they don't get what they want. I was just waiting for him to break out into a screaming/crying fit and start pounding his hands on the podium while he stomped his feet about how unfair it was that he didn't get what he wants.

He's always come off as being a bit more on the egotistical and contemptuous side. Incidents like this simply make it more obvious to the casual observer.

The 2012 presidental debates were another great example. It was really pretty disgusting to watch him scowl through all of them like he was about to start hurling insults at any moment in an enraged tantrum.

President Obama is an excellent public speaker, but only when he speaks on his terms. He doesn't seem to handle challenge or defeat very well. The civil facade quickly crumbles away to reveal the thoroughly unlikable narcissistic elitist underneath.

Sorry, I hit the wrong button, I wanted to vote for Spoiled Child.

another sawyer "poll", another cheap piece of underhanded partisan hackery masquerading as such.

What was never addressed is how the recent mass shooters would ever have gotten on the NICS "no gun" list. Making a "secret" list of all known dangerous, violent and/or just plain crazy folks allowed to walk freely among us and then trusting all to use expensive FFL dealers to "assist" us in recording all gun sales/transfers will never significantly reduce the ability of "bad follks" to get guns to use when committing crimes. Why was not "one dime" included for additional federal gun law enforcemnt included in this bill? Of the over 72,000 known felony gun buying attempts committed in 2010 only 13 were convicted due to "lack of resources"; yet we are said to need to increase the number of felony gun sale denials to be ignored? If a criminal or insane person expresses a desire to obtain a gun yet faces no penalty for that felony gun buying attempt, just what message does that send to them?

As I've been saying for some time, President Obama is irrelevant to the power and policy discussions going on in Washington now. Most in Washington realize it, with the exception of Obama and his sychophants who feed his ego. This little rant is an important step for him on the road to accepting his irrelevance. Tee-em up boys.

Awwww, feeling bad because that's your schtick?

I have never posted a poll in my 8 years here, much less an entire string of extremely partican ones day after day, so feel free to try again.

Perhaps with something intelligent this time.

My apologies - you must be the "gardener" who only responds in extremely partisan ways - it must be your namesake, "66gardener" who does the partisan poll posting. Hard to tell you apart, you all look the same to me.

Considering the fact that I go after the hard left as frequently as I do, I can only imagine your ignorance as to my posting history is due to some extremely partisan blinders of your own.

Usually those who make statements in regards to "you all look the same to me" are operating from a simple-minded perspective where the world is little but a cowboy movie divided between good guys and bad guys.

I think obama's little tantrum was party from losing on this gun control measure and partly because he is realizing he is fast becoming a lame duck. There is nothing a lame duck can do but take it like a man or rant and rave in a petty and petulant fashion. Obama obviously chose door number two.

Sorry to bruise your tender heart, however, you were the one who made the "partisan" comment, completely unrelated to the content of the post. If you don't want to have the same partisan brush swiped across your posts, you might want to be a little less partisan yourself.

His outburst of anger did come off as a bit childish. He probably didn't expect the bill to die in the senate. To be honest, I was pretty surprised that even Harry Reid voted against it o_O.

Wow....you call THAT a temper tantrum? LOL. Actually, I think most Americans would disagree. The American people are clearly with the President on this one. So keep up your hysterics, it only makes the gun nuts and the NRA look all that more stupid to the vast majority of Americans.

we heard the same sour grapes nonsense when the idiotic clinton bill was passed in 94

and then you gun haters got your asses handed to you in the midterm elections

and we still heard that most of america supported that idiotic gun ban

you lost, the constitution won, deal with it

temper tantrum is loaded language, but it certainty came off as unprofessional to me.

I also found him to be quite dishonest in his delivery, but that isn't really new.

Looks like Obama is expressing his opinion on how congress handled this just like any of us do.
