Actually, I was surprised that he would attempt to chastize Congress for his own political screw up. Moreover that he tried to sound tuff on the comeback while trying to defend his use and exploitation of those kids. That was the funny part. Him trying to describe what others were saying without using the Words Child Abuse.

You didn't think he's accept responsibility, did ya? I'm surprised he didn't try to slip Baby Bush's name in there...

No, I didn't think he would.....although he does have his Ego to contend with now. The One he didn't have when he was here and nothing more than a backseat driver without any relevance. To Think that he almost gave up politics after his crushing defeat by bobby Rush for that Congressional Spot. We were that close to sending his azz packing.

"Missed it, by....that much..."

Can any Democrat admit that they support this?

Yeah.....Robyn Kelly. Plus She has sworn to take down the NRA. Course she is a Bloomberg puppet so I don't know if that classifies her as a Democrat.

I don't get where the "spoiled child" metaphor is coming from.

Indoor voice. Short and sweet. No names named. Standard political jockeying.

This looks like nothing special to me. If this is as angry as he gets, he's a pretty easy-going guy.

Doesn't mean I agree with him. But I just don't see how this is being called a "temper tantrum."

I think you may have just clarified something: Obama has become the strawman for all the anxiety the Right is experiencing..................

Talk about a sore loser! Watch this video and decide for yourself does this guy look like a sober, mature president, a leader we can count on or does he look like a spoiled little boy you see in the grocery store throwing a fit because mommy refused to buy him something he really really wanted. This is our president?

You can't win the substance argument, so I guess you will have to settle to attacks on the form. Pretty weak!

I agree completely.

Now I think he is a lousy POTUS.

But this is what some are calling a 'temper tantrum'?

'tan·trum [tan-truhm] Show IPA
noun
a violent demonstration of rage or frustration; a sudden burst of ill temper.'

To call this a 'temper tantrum' is totally ridiculous.

Yeah, I wouldn't call it a temper-tantrum.....But none cannot say he wasn't miffed. ;)

In my industry they are called brush fits and if obama wore a hard hat he surly would have thrown it.

it was the typical reaction of an entitlement/affirmative-action poster child who didn't get his way

I'm not sure how that follows. If rights come with responsibilities, which btw are personal, and the government has a duty to protect the general public then how exactly does that trump their duty to protect the rights of the people?

When you begin to threaten others, the government has the right to intervene.

I don't know how much simpler I can make this for you. Your rights exist only as far as you respect others and their rights.

Ahem..."power" to intervene

I don't know how much simpler I can make this for you. Your rights exist only as far as you respect others and their rights.

You better make it simpler because I still don't get it. If no harm has come to you and no harm was even attempted than I can't imagine why the government could act. It appears to me they are just acting on restricting the rights of the people to speak their minds.

I'm not wasting anymore time on this.

Look, the government has a duty to protect the general public. If that means that you have to go through such draconian measures having to pass a background check to ensure that dangerous weapons don't fall into the hands of psychopaths, criminals, and the mentally-ill, so be it.

If we have to curtail the use of certain weapons, which are not themselves necessary in everyday life, to ensure the safety of our friends, family, and children, so be it.

Rights are not absolute. They come with responsibilities, chief amongst them that you will not use your rights to harm others. If we have reason to believe that you will ignore your responsibilities, or are unable to even consider them, the government has a right to intervene.

That...is the simplest...I can possibly make this.
