Your views are very interesting. I hope you don't see women simply as vaginas because I kinda think you do. Did you get into trouble somehow for putting a woman on her ass because she was slapping you?
 
Everyone likes to talk big in these sort of questions, but let's be real, there are factors to consider.

Depends on a few things like the build of the guy, the positioning of all three of us, etc.

I would say, if I was married, that I would do what I could to stop him though. But who knows, and I hope I never fall into any situation remotely similar to this.

There is no question. I will attack him.

If I die in the process, I will do my best to render him unable to continue his assault first.

Naturally, I will try my best to be smart about it, and may feign compliance at first in order to catch him in a moment of distraction... but he isn't laying a hand on my wife while I breathe.


IMHO, a man who would do any less is no man at all.... or else he cares very little about his wife.

My thoughts exactly. My life is worth more to me than any woman's desire to not engage in a forced sex act. Plus, nowadays you could get sued for that kind of thing if the woman was injured while you were trying to get the rapist off her. I wouldn't bother stepping in to stop a rape. Leave that to the white knights and their misguided chivalry.

And if it is your wife, partner, friend, daughter or granddaughter being raped? Are you going to turn around and walk away...after getting a description of the attacker, of course? Or is it because you don't personally know her, it's okay with you? Wow! :shock:

my first instinct would be to do everything I could to stop him. But I would hope my common sense would kick in.

what good would I be to her when he kills me and rapes her anyway? now not only has she been raped, she also has to deal with the death of her spouse. sometimes, discretion is the better part of valor.

Oh I realize the lack of information in the question presented, however, it still doesn't change my answer. For me, to protect my wife, the love of my life, there really are only two options. I win or I die trying to win.

That's right; leave it to the "white knights"...or. as I call them, "real men." Somebody needs to call the cops...and lawyers...and insurance companies. ;)

I couldn't live with myself if I didn't try to stop the rape so I'd be better off being killed in the attempt than committing suicide after I did nothing. Life without dignity and self respect is pointless and I would rather die with dignity than live without it.

The way America is changing, the question should be for women, what if a man with a gun wanted to rape your husband, what would your reaction be ?

Anyone who has read the Army's Gold Book, < www.ria.army.mil/docs/GoldBook.pdf > since the repeal of DADT, same sex rapes have significantly increased in the Army. So if it's happening in the Army it must be happening in the civilian world.
