    /thread?

The fact-dependent situation is going to dictate a lot of what exactly happens, so I don't know what kind of answer you're looking for.

as a woman , if l really believe he deserves my devotion , l would do everything to protect him.

so he must do the same thing ,l believe.
It would depend on the situation. Flashy machismo heroics sound great on paper, but they tend to be less than productive in most real life scenarios.

Getting myself needlessly shot in a foolish full frontal charge doesn't really benefit anyone if it means that I'm just going to spend my last few minutes on this earth bleeding out on the floor while watching some thug and his buddies proceed to rape my wife anyway.

I watch for an opening, and if I see one, I take it. If not, I hunt his ass down afterwards.

On the other hand, if it looks like they're going to kill you anyway regardless, go for broke. What have you got to lose?

I didn't know you 'liked' until after I changed it. When I edit a post my browser doesn't show me the current version of the page right away, so I can post, see no like, edit, still see no like, and could be another minute or two before the website sends me the notification that I was liked at all, for me to then click on that link and see the current version of the page.

Re: for men - What would you do ?

I have been involved with two attacks. Once in Atlanta, a masked man tried to rob me at a gas station, I gave him 10 gallons of premium right in the face, took his weapon away and stomped his head really good.

The second time a guy in Memphis wanted my wallet, he had a knife, I said NO. He tried to stab me and I still have the scar on my right hand from defending myself.

The above situation, if I had access to a gun, I would shoot him without question. If he had one and I did not I would wait for opportunity, either way I don't think he would leave the area alive, but who can say for sure.

Hey, look at the 72 year old shopkeeper who beat back the two thugs with a baseball bat 'trying' to rob his store. It's all about desire/motivation when defending one's self or another.
