Like them, GI Jane is HOT
Like them, but not on the front lines
I'm a realist, I don't like them
Are we supposed to be presenting our opinion of how attractive we find female soldiers?
If not, this comment seems a bit out of place regarding your opening.
And now you express hostility towards the female soldiers themselves? Are we debating the merits of the idea of women serving in the military, or are we just venting our personal distaste for women who do so?I don't like them one bit.
No more or less so than it is to give guns to men and have them run around pretending they're GI Joe.First, it's a waste of tax dollars to give women guns and have them running around playing GI Jane.
...The same things that can happen if a male soldier is captured?Second, what happens if a woman is caught in battle?
No more then here male comrades.A woman is a liability out there.
Most people aren't physically, mentally, and emotionally cut out to be soldiers.Women are physically, mentally, and emotionally not cut out to be soldiers.
This being the reason we train them with a harsh regimen and provide generous health services after their tour.
...For that reason, they have not been soldiers all throughout human history.
The bolded is not held to be strictly true by anyone. It's only in our modern, metrosexual era where Hollywood replaces reality that we are deluded enouigh to believe that men and women are exactly the same in every respect.
What real argument is there against women serving in the military that is not based in either ignorance or male chauvinism?
Overall, I think it's a bad idea.
I have nothing against women serving in combat roles, per se, but their smaller, weaker frames will undoubtedly mean a lowering of physical standards to do the job. As in most government positions, we'll end up enacting quotas that turn away better qualified people in favor of more politically correct groups.
There are also long term healthcare costs to think of.

Women should be actively encouraged to fight on the front lines.
Anything else only lends credence to feminist/misandrist indoctrination.
