if he's going to make a run for president, he should probably lose some weight. i don't say that because i have anything against him for his weight; i just recognize that it would create a problem for him. the presidency is at least in part the ultimate popularity contest.
that being said, doing it on the biggest loser would be ill advised.
Agreed. It is not healthy for a man of his age to carry all that weight and then expect to run for president. Its a recipe for potential disaster.
Christie is an a very good place right now taking his political image to new heights. A cheap show like that could only damage him.
How so? My Dad is still living at 68 at over 300 pounds and 6 foot tall yet my mother a small petite woman of 5'2" has been dead for 3 years now at 61.
.Glad to hear that your dad is going strong. eace Some people defy the odds. Others fall victim to them.
I have to believe somebody of Christies size and age gets medical advice all the time to lose weight.
.
As did my Dad from Mom and others. I don't think cancer targets people by size
Heart problems take more people than cancer and I think that is probably the concern with Christie. Although I hear obesity can bring on all sorts of medical problems.

that is what they keep saying ignoring that genes play a bigger role
No doubt that genetics play a huge roll. And that is something you cannot change. My dads grandfather lived to his mid 90's and both my folks are still alive - late 80's - and doing very well with all their faculties and in good health. For my money, I want to live forever and every little thing - and perhaps major things - I can do to increase the odds of that are things I try to do.
I have run 2,000 miles a year going back to the mid 70's. Never smoked, never drank coffee, and lead a very conservative life style that would make most people look like libertines. If it gives me five extra years - and I do not get run over by a damn truck - while a drunken driver distractedly munches a triple cheesburger while chugging a red bull - I will be happy.
Oh please let this happen. Don't care if he needs it or not it's would just be comedy gold.
Yes, he is in a good spot right now except Republicans don't seem to like him right now because he worked with Obama and praised him. I think if he did well on the show, it could boost his recognition factor tremendously.Christie is an a very good place right now taking his political image to new heights. I still don't think Democrats will really make him their nominee for president despite his current popularity among Democrats.
