For my part, two of my deceased uncles were gay. I also have had numerous gay friends and acquaintances over the years. One of my extended members is undergoing gender reassignment.
When I was in Southeast Asia, I trained some Thai and Lao soldiers who were gay. They, the Thai and Lao had no problem with them and neither did I. In Thailand and Laos, transgender are known as Katoey’s and Katoey’s are recognized as the third sex. Again I had no problems with them either. In fact Thailand, much like we have the Miss USA pageant, they have a Miss Katoey pageant every year.

My wife’s beautician is a Katoey from Thailand and he is a very nice guy. He has some pictures from Thailand when he was young, he was one good looking and sexy Katoey. There are two gay couple that visit the same Wat as the wife and I do, outstanding couples. My wife by the way is Thai.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

Unfortunately, the Western mind, brutalized for the last 2013 years into thinking soley in terms of "this or that", "good vs evil" "black and white", will probably never be able to recover from it's disease.................

Yeah, but perhaps the west will get there. Just think Bonz, if it weren't for the military I probably would be still spouting that bible belt stuff.

Yeah, I think it's likely those answering 'no' either don't have many friends/family or just aren't aware of it, or possibly they walk around with a "Stay away from me homos" vibe.

I don't know where you are progress-wise on your book, but this might merit a chapter! Just a thought...

I can see no reason why people would be against it, it does not harm anyone.

It's still hard as a teenager, reflected by the suicide/drop out/homeless rate. At that age, well-placed haters can ruin your life, and i know one HS senior who is sadly still in the closet. By the college age, though, I agree it makes little sense. It becomes self-destructive at that point.
