I turn off my lights for 2 things..and Earth Day ain't either one.
Am I still observing earth hour if I build a bond fire in the yard and drink beer, since all the TV is off and there's nothing better to do?
It's the same reasoning behind why I'd sucker-punch any PETA member I met.

What's wrong with PETA? I always wanted to be a member. Doesn't it stand for People Eating Tasty Animals?
Holy ****ing dishonest spin! Why can't conservatives ever be honest?
I'm honestly NOT turning off my electricity in the name of "saving the planet". Are you?
But you are dishonestly presenting what it is. If you cannot debate it honestly, maybe you shouldn't try.
You gonna cut down a tree for that?
Is it not about saving the planet?
Maybe you should find out before commenting on it. That is a handy debate tip.
I already know, Redress. I've had crazy environmentalism crap shoved down my throat since grade school. It's all about "saving the Earth". Now...what do YOU say it's about?
Earth Hour is the single, largest, symbolic mass participation event in the world. Born out of a hope that we could mobilize people to take action on climate change, Earth Hour now inspires a global community of millions of people in 7,001 cities and towns across 152 countries and territories to switch lights off for an hour as a massive show of concern for the environment.
0To celebrate Earth Hour......
Tonight from 8:30 to 9:30 wherever you are on Earth, turn off all devices that use electricity. Because..... if we all do that... the Earth will be saved!
Anyone celebrating?
Oh! There he goes! He can't have a conversation with me without mentioning Glenn Beck. *eyeroll*
And..... bringing attention to "climate change" will persuade people to help "save the Earth". Derp.

It's 2045 in Georgia, apparently not.
Maybe if you did not repeat his talking points....
Global climate change is not destroying the Earth. Nice try though. Next time, maybe actually read and try to honestly present. It works better.
BZZZT! Wrong! about | Earth Hour
Good evening, Pero.
If I started turning everything off that used electricity around here, my laptop would have to go, and I'm NOT that ready to celebrate anything! Besides, it would probably take till midnight to get everything turned back on, and I'd have to use electricity to light up the place so I could what I was doing, so it would be a wash.
Summertime would be a better time to do this, IMO...at least it doesn't get dark till 9:00....
