Is the Tea Party a racist organization?

there are things a lot more subtle. Such as promoting policies that keep the inferior group in question from obtaining education on a par with the favored group. Not killing them, but still racist.
But what is "racism" anyway?

Personally, I don't find anything wrong with racism until one starts exploiting or killing the "inferior" groups.

Racism is the PRACTICE of discriminating against a group for jobs, education, housing, etc. A racist is person who hates a person because of their race alone.

And to answer the question.... Chris Matthews thinks everything "right" in America is racist. Therefore, he's a total idiot.

I think Matthews has lost it. Says a lot about his employers that he is still given a platform for his lunatic ravings.

And yet, there's no link to prove this. How sad to be a person who jumps to conclusions without evidence. Let me guess. You vote republican. ;)

While the organization itself could not be classified as a racist or hate organization, there certainly are racists within it. My own brother-in-law for one and I can say that with 100% certainty.

I started not to vote racist, but if eveyone you know in it is a racist, how can you vote no?

There have been at least two major tea party gatherings at the State Capital in Lansing since I have been working there and both times I spent a great deal of time talking to the participants. Many seemed like good and decent folk who simply had a different view on things. Not my view by any stretch - but I saw no real evidence of any racism as a group policy. I have seen hand made signs I would label as racist at tea party gatherings and know people like my own brother-in-law who is a racist and involved in the group.

Let me guess--you don't really keep up with Matthews and are also too lazy to look for yourself. I'm not jumping to a conclusion: I reached a conclusion quite some time ago, and nope, it wasn't because of the tingle up Matthew's leg.

All people (in a certain country) are equal regarding the law. However, they are not equal in talents, outlook, skills, stamina, intellect, etc.
I haven't heard that the Tea Party wants to cut someones rights (that would be racist if they did).

Again, I'm sorry if you're unfamiliar with the attribution of the infamous "tingle up the leg" quote, which has been widely cited for years. You could, of course, just Google to verify.

I beleive the Tea Party wants to get rid of the Public School system and the department of Education, and provide schooling on a very local level. This would insure socio0-economic stratification for generations. This is the first and clearest example I could think of right off hand.

Watch Hardball he said it there...

So basically you are making **** up again. Since you always get caught when you do this, why do you keep doing it?

Here--cut and paste this into Google. Don't even put in the close-quotes mark: "tingle up

Guess what pops up?

I was not talking about your quote, that is common knowledge. I was talking about the OP.

I would call this "anti-big-government". It's not necessarily racist. :)

We have a racist President. Racism is the in-thing.

You responded to my post. Apologies for thinking you were responding to me and what I said.

Cant be overt anymore. The effect is the same.

Well, they can say that the Public School system is "socialism". So, who's right?
Does the US Constitution give the right to a "Public School system"?

Isn't a much better question this:

Is the tea party even remotely relevant anymore?

Tea Party: Old Whine in New Bottles | Mother Jones

The tea party is just another brand name of the John Birch Society of the 1950's. Nothing more, nothing less. Get a democratic President, get a right wing backlash. Racists? Oh, yeah.

Black Tea Party members decry claims about racism in movement | cleveland.com

"Black members of the tea party movement on Wednesday rejected charges that the group's activists are racist, saying they oppose President Barack Obama because of his policies not his skin color."
