which is it?

Well actually some are moved to a minimum due to the gangs having a hit out on them. Doesn't matter what they did Child Rapists, Murderers. Nor is it based on if they earned the privilege. Although I should say that's with State Prisons and not Federal.

well then my answer is obvious, if they were moved for other reason that do not reflect good behavior, privileged earned etc then no, it has no impact on my opinion.

what are you trying to ask lol

I was just commenting on the privilege part. Not so much asking a question. Plus there are some groups that an inmate can get a visit with that the State or Fed Cant stop. Which doesn't come from inmates families friends or relatives. Such as Human Rights groups and or the Press.

those groups im fine with because they are more about the rights that havent been and shouldn't be taken away.
IMO those two groups you mention should have access in all prisions

When it comes to visitations the only right that a criminal has is his/her right to see a lawyer. Everyone else it is a priviledge.

Some Prisons even have Conjugal visits......now those should be considered a Privilege.

I can ditto that.

I am sure it prevents a lot of violence when the ashes are hauled, bro.:)

You lose many of your constitutional rights when you go to prison. I'd be all for visitation being a privilege that's earned through good behavior -- and suspended when prisoners become problems. Trying to keep prisoners sane, safe and relatively happy should be a goal of our prison system. (Maybe "happy" isn't the right word, but making them nuts doesn't make much sense either.)

I'd venture to say that they already were nuts, which is why they ended up in prison in the first place.

I certainly think it is a privilege for the inmate. But I could see the argument being made that it is a right for the family member on the outside.
