Should willfully ignorant people be allowed to vote

If it were 5-4 right now Navy....it would have already happened. Conservatives were hoping to stack the court with at least 1 more right-wing activist. Obama's re-election ensured that wouldn't happen. And it isn't going to get any better for you. Hilary's election will cause you guys to go backwards on your efforts to change the court.

The difference is you think Kennedy is a Liberal and actually what he is the swing vote who usually votes right.

Just for a second, I thought you were talking about a different Kennedy altogether. I nearly fainted dead away!

To you I am one of those right wing christians and the last thing I want is religion taught in the Public Schools nor do I know anyone who does.........Now teaching the religion you love radical islam, sharia law is another matter..........You lose again.

The so called "Christian-right" has been pursuing a radical agenda for the last several decades to push religion into the public forum, especially in schools. They have been pushing for Christian prayers at school and school functions, the have been pushing for "creationism" to be taught in place of Science. They have been pushing for "christian" Christmas symbols to be placed in schools and government settings. So don't kid yourself Navy. The whole "War on Christmas" is just another of their tactics to try to push their perverted brand of "Christianity" on the masses. Most people in America believe strongly in keeping church and state seperate. Religion definitely has its place in our society. But that place is not the schools or the government.

Actually....no I don't. Kennedy is a right-leaning moderate. He doesn't "usually vote right"....he votes pretty much down the middle and often sides with the more liberal justices. If the right-wing had the votes in the SCOTUS right now Navy....they would have pushed legislation and litigation in order to get a case before the court. The reality is...they know that they don't have the votes. And THANK GOD for Obama, that is not going to change at least for the next generation. Obama's re-election saved our Supreme Court from the radical and activist right-wing social agenda.
