Even if she was telling the truth and was only defending herself from an attack, ummmm, that's a little overkill, and you really have to be a complete psycho to do all of that IMHO.

That many stab wounds makes it very personal, doesn't it?

The whole thing is just completely nuts! She mutilated the poor guy! Scary to think that she, who seems so subdued, could do such a thing.

I am pretty well versed on the law of self defense. The only way she could justify that sort of butchering was if she had been totally brutalized and went totally whacko. But if that were the case she would not have made up so many lies

Death by bongo!!!

I've watched a lot of the trial live on azcentral.com. It is broadcast without advertising and without censorship. Of course the courtroom cameras don't show the jury and don't show the sex pictures and videos as they are being shown in the courtroom, but those are the only things not aired.

Before leaving California to come back to Mesa (east of Phoenix), she rented a car (refused the red one they first gave her because she said red cars attract more police, speeding and all). Next she bought 3 gas cans and filled them with gas. She also took the front tag off her rental car (she claims skate boarders did it while she was in a Starbucks) and drove to Mesa. There are no receipts for gas or anything else that would prove she was in Arizona. Sounds like pre-meditated something to me.

She shot him with a .25 caliber bullet, that she claims came from a gun that Jason Alexander owned. The gun was never found. She threw it in the desert somewhere between Phoenix and the Hoover Dam. While she was in California staying with her grandparents their house was robbed. They took 30 bucks out of Jodi's wallet and her grandfather's gun - a .25 caliber. The robbers didn't take Jodi's laptop or anything else of value. The police found no ammunition at Alexander's home. Alexander used to go to the range with a friend and would always borrow a gun from his friend because Alexander didn't have one. If he bought a pistol he never told his shooting buddy. Why the hell would he buy a .25 cal pistol anyway? Admittedly, there is no gun and thus no proof that her grandfather's gun is the gun that Arias alleges to have been Alexander's.

There is soooooo much more that can't be ignored. I'd be very surprised if the jury didn't convict her.

Thanks for all this info. Has Arias accounted for the changes in her story?

I haven't been following this. What was her reason for stabbing him eighteen hundred times?

On the clips I saw, the prosecutor was asking her about contradictions in her story, and she was saying "I never said that . . . I said this . . ." Things like that.

Apparently, he was still aggressively coming after her after she shot him in the face.

Okay, I can see there's a fair amount of back story here. I was asking why she wanted to kill him in the first place.

IMHO he was no great day at the beach. Listening to the taped conversations played in court, it is easy to see that he was stringing her along to fulfill his sexual fantasies. She enjoyed most of the sex too. He doesn't appear to be emotionally involved with her at all. She was in love or something like it.

I don't know what other men say to women when they talk sex. But any man who tells a woman that he wants **** her till she moans like a 12 year old girl having her first orgasm is a sick bastard in my book. Why would that even occur to Alexander? He treated her like **** in public. Seems to me he had issues regarding self-esteem. Nothing he did, however, warranted being sliced, diced and shot.

She isn't stupid, but I think she somehow felt betrayed and cast aside, though she knew it was all a two way street. She couldn't let go of him or the wild sex, so she killed him. She didn't just kill him, she slaughtered him.

Yes there is. She claims that he abused her in the past and was trying to attack her at the time of the murder.

To be honest, I haven't really been following it either, but I saw it on the news today and it did capture my attention.

Yeah, that definitely isn't worth brutally murdering someone. Most people who are involved in a bad relationship just leave and move on.

At times, yes. She admits she has changed parts of her story 3 times. The reasons vary: shame, disbelief, not wanting to get caught.

She often claims she can't remember key moments. Though to be honest, the mental and emotional trauma of murdering someone is probably going to create some blocked memory. Other times her answers seem too pat. When confronted with providing different stories she claims she has never done so under oath.

Don't know, don't really care.

Until a couple days ago - I had never (to my knowledge) even heard of the case.

Do you think this has damaged her account in the eyes/ears of the jury?

Perhaps he was just very hard to kill, like Jason Voorhees. :lamo

Reading more into the case, there's no doubt in my mind that she murdered him. There's photographic evidence that they were having sex the same night Alexander was killed, from Alexander's camera, which was found in the washing machine in badly damaged condition. The deleted images were recovered by police, as well as photographs of the corpse. There's also the bloody handprint in the bathroom, which consisted of DNA from the victim, and Arias. There was also a .25 caliber casing in the bathroom. The same caliber handgun that mysteriously went missing from the suspects grandparents. Obviously, some are going to say the gun is circumstantial, and that anyone could have had a 25 caliber pistol, but let's be honest. How common is the 25? Not very. That coupled with all the other evidence shows that the bitch is guilty.

The testimony has been unbelievable. It has gotten into the definitions of "facials" and "cream pies"; where Alexander ejaculated on her on a number of occasions, why they switched from baby oil to KY jelly for anal sex; who bought the KY and why; what position she was during sex; whether she was on her knees giving him a blow job; blow jobs on the front porch; in the car; tootsie roll pops up her vagina until there was nothing left; Pop Rocks blow jobs and vaginal sex; rough anal sex the afternoon after Alexander baptized her at the Mormon church; tying each other up and what sexual positions were used; why she shaved her nether region; sex bent over a desk and sex and sex and sexting; and pictures and videos; and did she like it again and again and again.

It's definitely going to be a movie. Sex, murder, Mormons, Pop Rocks and Appleby's. It's got Americana all over it!

I don't see how she can get out of this.

Poison the bitch.

How is their sex life relevant to the murder case? Sounds like they just want to sensationalize it or something.

Is there any actual evidence that she was ever beaten by this man, except for hearsay?

And that...is why I avoid sensationalist stories.

nah I think its a case where she was a lot more into him than he was to her. She was a piece of tail for him and she thought he loved her. Hell hath no fury like a psychotic woman scorned
