    I wouldn't doubt 2 weeks. I'd figure at least 3-5 days, minimum.

Also, he doesn't advertise himself as a pain doctor. He's still gen-prac. I'm sure I don't have to explain to you why.

We already get enough crazies walking through the door, looking for a "fix".

Of course, for some reason I keep saying this in present tense. I quit a few months ago in anticipation of the practice shutting down.

I would not go to a doctor I knew smoked pot on a regular basis. I won't let a friend of mine work on my house because he is a chronic smoker and I damn sure wouldn't let my doctor work on me.

Choices will be yes, no and maybe. Need a sec to get the poll up (that sounds bad).
Absolutely not. It would indicate questionable judgement.

I would not trust nor visit a doctor i doctor I knew was an alcoholic either. The issue is not which is worse, but that both are bad.

It would all depend on the particiular individual. Anyone who has passed the muster to get into med school, pass it, and become certified, is pretty damn intelligent imo. I wouldn't go to a coke-head, but smoking pot is a whole different ballgame.

This is the thing. If any of us knew of our physician abusing substances we would assume the worst and probably quit them. But they're human and have the same problems we all have off and on booze, chemicals, food, stress etc. I knew an orderly who worked in a hospital where there were nurses on pain meds, doctors taking tranqs but the most common substance used was pot. And mostly by younger personnel.

The fact he smoked pot would have no influence on my evaluation of him as a doctor. Either I like the way he works and respect his judgement and knowledge - or I don't. I could care less about what he does in spare time.

How does a doctor smoking pot affect his knowledge and expertise on the human body in any way, shape, or form?
