Are you kidding me? It seems I can't even take a proper sh*t without having to report it.

In the bible, the label is used to separate "God's" people from everybody else, leading many to conclude that the bible promotes racism, violence, and genocide.

When we hear about the holocaust, we know the Jews were the ones Hitler didn't like, and Hitler was all about racism - so we assume that the Jews are a human race. Still no cigar. For myself, a So. Cal. native, a "Jew" was a miserly penny pincher who never spent money, and I believe most of us who ever used the term in that context, was not referring to the group of people called the "Jews". We just didn't know any better. I'm still not clear on it. I'm going to research the origin of the word "Jewish" and see what it says.
Man, your mind is ****ed up.

Yes. I would be in favor of a Governmental style where Rights were considerably restricted and instead replaced with Privileges which would be EARNED by the Populace rather than simply granted as a factor of being fortunate enough to be born inside this country.

Then, Tigger, our Founders were wrong in treating the people as adults ?
Maybe they were more responsible back in your day ??
I am leaning to be agreeable with you, but the ways things are now is so-so to OK.

As to the "police state" , as advertised, of course, a NO vote...
Who would be that insane to vote YES ?

Our Founding Fathers were incredibly naive in that they believed society would remain based on Morality, Values, and the ideals of their day and age. To that end they failed to include the Duties and Responsibilities of the Citizenry along with the Rights and Freedoms afforded to them. Over the past two centuries our society and culture have become devoid of the ideals of that day and age. We have advanced technologically and retreated morally at about the same pace. Personal Responsibility is only the tip of the iceburg.

When the citizenry loses its ability to maintain good order in society, someone must step in and fix the problem. I see no other option beyond the Government to do so.

Sit down and shut up. Deal with the problems at hand and stop your paranoid rampages.
So your idea to assuage this persons fears of being muzzled by the state is to try and muzzle him.

    Okaaaaay.

By the way, (though I do not think America is near a police state) if you think that the governments powers have not significantly grown over the past dozen or so years, then you are blind to the obvious.

The state can now tap your phones for little reason, legally assasinate you whenever they see fit and throw you in jail almost indefinitely without charge...all since 9/11.

Any non-corrupt government will do. One that will not do all the things that the one we now have does. One that holds its officials accountable for perjury when oathes are broken, One that will restore true law and order.

The thing about our present government that I find most troublesome is the fact that they violate the constitution, international treaties, etc., and they are never held accountable. They pass laws that are so blatantly wrong, like the FDA, for example, is just way out of control. If you thought the FDA was really only there to make sure the medical industry stays highly profitable, and you were worried that because of this you would be labeled a conspiracy theorist, well you no longer need to worry because today they have made it so obvious by raiding companies that sell herbs and natural remedies. Such raids are so grotesquely wrong and illegal. yet nothing ever happens to them.
Anytime a cure (even cancer) appears in a medical journal, they go and "bust" the doctor and do everything they can to suppress the cure.

So, I guess the short answer would be a government that honors the constitution and does not conspire with the medical establishment to suppress cures, goes to war only when absolutely necessary, worries only about building this nation, and for God's sake, one that doesn't obstruct justice by blocking investigations (by executive order) of things like 911 and the Colorado theater shootings. Blocking investigations like that doesn't look good for them.
