What didn't you like about him?

He will always be that horrible, horrible man who made me vote Democratic (and only, just that once)for the first time in my life for national office

What didn't you like about him?

Well, off the top of my head I can only name the straw that broke the camel's back.

Before getting the GOP nom McCain -- " We don't need to drill in ANWR, that isn't a necessity at this time we have other options, other technologies to explore, etc., etc,..."

After getting the GOP nom McCain -- " Drill baby Drill, Drill hard, Drill fast, Drill everywhere, DRILL DRILL DRILL!!!!"

No he isa an opportunist just like all good predators/.

No, pretty much defined Palin for myself. And Biden is not a good VP, but compared to Sarah Palin he is light years ahead of her in almost all trades that make a person but fa decent vice presidential candidate.

But, I do not think that Biden should take it upon himself to run for president in 4 years, he is not suitable for a full presidency IMHO but for a short stint of being a president (in case something should happen to Obama) he is reasonably acceptable whereas Palin was just not presidential material, not even vice-presidential.

Biden served for about 36 years in the Senate, was chairman of the senate committee on the judiciary, chairman of the international narcotics control caucus and was chairman of the senate committee on foreign affairs.

Now Biden might be a long winded, experienced, foot in mouth, know it all kind of a guy with political positions in the liberal category , but I would still prefer that to an inexperienced, foot in mouth, one liner, mama bear kind of a person with political views that are way too conservative to appeal to most voters.
Biden, will become the next President,if Hillary, doesn't run for POTUS! Y'all get ready it's going to happen! :2usflag: :donkeyfla

I think Senator McCain does his best to be a man of honor in a nest of serpents, it is a tad easier for him as he has a butt load through his second marriage- his divorce was not honorable but no one is perfect.

I do believe his loss first in the primary to BushII and then when running after the train wreck BushII left has changed him. he seems more peevish, i believe he feels betrayed and where ever he can lash out he does. I don't think he would be using Hagel to extort more information from the Obama Administration IF Hagel hadn't been a maverick and gone against his party during the Iraq mess.

Will be interesting to see if McCain gets over his sense of betrayal anytime soon.

John McCain is not an ideological conservative. He is a conservativish fellow who is motivated by a strong sense of honor. This can make him seem (and, in fact, be) incredibly stubborn at times when others do not understand why he refuses to capitulate, but also dangerously unpredictable.
I think you are close if not right on.
Curious though, why is his unpredictably dangerous?
Dangerous to whom?

Well he did turn his back on calls to impeach Obama, so there is hope....

Really wasnt ever a "maverick" so no.

The only thing McCain was a Maverick to.....was The republican party. Due to not voting party lines. Now is McCain a bit of a Rebel. I think it's safe to say he is.

I mean how many other Senators do you know that will get on Twitter and Diss the President about eating Dog and Putzing around golf courses while not knowing how to golf. I just hope he doesn't lose his sense of humor while he gets older.
