Your comment is off topic.

If you want to start a thread like that, get after it.

Have a nice day.

I think its pretty plausible that we don't know the answer to this. It could be God sending a message or it could be nature doing its thing.

Who knows. Who cares. Only those who are weak of faith seek to base their faith on superstition and "what if's". Those strong of faith will believe in what they believe because they have good cause to do so.

When God created the world He knew exactly what would happen when, He planned this. Maybe he's just reminding people that he's still good at smiting.

What is the point of the poll and the event? They are completely unrelated.

Where's the "I'm bored so I made a bait thread" option?

That's what I would've voted for.

And BTW, the lightning strike was news two days ago.

I'm surprised you are so concerned with the forum rules, considering you posted this blog article in mainstream media.

I am surprised that anyone would waste their time worrying about this. You must have a very dull life.

Is this mainstream media enough for you: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21421810?

Get a life and have a nice millisecond.

Hot tip: If you don't have anything to say: Don't say it.

Have a nice millisecond.

What the hell is the matter with you man? You've been in here for all of about 2 seconds, and are managing to just piss people off. You know what that is a definition of?

In Internet slang, a troll (pron.: /ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is someone who posts inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[3

Yeah, I'd say that fits.

The dateline on the CBC article that I linked to is 4;00PM, Feb. 12. , that is less than 2 days before I started this thread. If you think that you have a legitimate complaint, take it up with the management of this forum, otherwise, buh-bye.

Have a whatever kind of day that you deserve day.

Who twisted your arm and forced you to come to this thread? (It wasn't me.) I wouldn't miss you if I had never met you.

If everyone agreed on everything, this would be a mighty dull world. But sometimes, some of us can disagree without being disagreeable.

What is your problem?

If you don't like what I have to say, put me on ignore, pretty simple, eh? I certainly won't miss you.

It looks to me like you came to this thread looking for an argument ( Which some people call stalking.), I'll let you figure that out.

I kid you not: Lightning strikes St. Peter's Basilica after Pope's resignation - Your Community

That tells me that the guy in the sky is either very happy or very unhappy that the pope resigned.

What do you think?

BTW: I realize that tall buildings are often hit by lightning, but consider the timing.

LOL - it's the peak of the tallest building in the area . . . naturally, it would happen ALL the time. Only now it receives news?

Lightening hit a power pole down the road from me a while back. Must have been a sign from God that he didn't like that pole, the power company, or the volunteer fire department. I mean, it had to have been, right?

Seemed like too much of a coincidence to some people, so they put it in the news.

I would have been move impressed if a heavenly choir of God's angels had picked the pope up and carried him off, but, hey, maybe that's just me.

Maybe God's aim is bad, eh?

LOL - i was hoping for a sudden and full recovery but all we get is a lightening strike *sigh*

I think mankind will forever be attempting to explain natural events that are beyond our understanding. Pigeons perch and poop on the dome of the Basilica, too.
