Yes, I would. :cowboy:

yes i would :cowboy:

As a 4rth Generation Texan I can say I've met my share of real cowboys and would be impressed if one of my kids tried to go that direction.

But Cowboys, "real Cowboys " are born, not made. Their priorities are centered in noble concepts and are fundamentally honest and hard working people.

Money is at the bottom of their list of priorities and they're as tough of a individual you will ever meet.

That's the current mythology.

"Of all the colourful horsemen in history, perhaps cowboys exert the most enduring fascination. People seem to need these archetypal heroes, even if many of them were drunkards, rapists and murderers. The first cowboys arrived in the Americas with Columbus. They were wild cattle hunters and were truly the lone frontiersmen of myth. Over the centuries, though, their freedom to roam the range and live like Indians between earth and sky has gradually been eroded, so that the modern cowboy is simply a working horseman.... "

In all fairness, it should be said that although it's a serious well researched book, by a cowboy enthusiast, the author is an English country and western singer, whose real name is Dr Samuel Hutt. His day job is gynaecology.

I grew up in a place where the three day rodeo was the biggest in the country.

It was more a matter of how a parent could prevent it instead of letting it happen.

It is not my say what my children become as adults. Not at all. My duty and goal is to do what I can so they are prepared to live fulfilling lives and to be self reliant and free.

Oh, there's an entire poetic genre devoted to the cowboy. But some don't have to read and romanticize cowboys and cowgirls; they know them.

I love watching bull riding..most of those circuit riders are pretty crippled up..I should imagine it is not a long career...

But the stars of the show are the clowns..how brave are they?
