Well, I guess throughout the year they could be. But around Thanksgiving I would say they would beg to differ. I usually declare war on Turkey once a year. Maybe twice. Depending upon what my wife cooks for Christmas.
I think your choices are a bit too polarized, but yes I'd consider Turkey an ally.
no need to kid ..
this is a serious thread
Turkey was a strong ally of the west for many years after Ataturk, but the recent trend toward Islamism is worrisome.
we are secular than usa ,and that fake islamism had been supported by fake crusader junior bush
Please explain why you think Turkey is more secular than the USA. I'd like to read about your perspective on the matter.
They're my ally as long as they have the best coffee in the world.
bon apetit gipper ,l will send you some
I believe that Turkey is an ally of the United States but there are issues. For instance, Turkey may be attempting to arm Islamist in Libya and Mali.

yes thats why we are ally ..
Turkey and the United States have had an alliance for decades, and one that proved mutually beneficial to both nations. Foreign relations isn't about childish nonsense like having "friends", but rather who is willing to share your interests. There will be inevitable disagreements, the point is focus on areas in which there are considerable benefits from cooperation. Current political situations have cooled relations a bit, but the alliance should still be kept intact if at all feasible.
Not sure I understand. If Turkey is attempting to arm Islamist in Africa that would not be something an ally would do. Islamist and al Qaeda in particular are enemies of the United States.
