Let the people elect whatever leader they choose. Inhibiting that right is not the responsibility of government.

Yup.

3 House, 2 Senate, 2 Pres, and a 24 yr lifetime total limit for any and all elective offices higher than "mayor".

I'd also like to see a required 4 year waiting period between "having held one office" and "running for a new one".

Our professional politicial class has proven itself a dismal failure.

Absolutely. Most professional politicians have no clue what it's like not to be in office. They have very little experience living in the real world and it shows. I think that once you're voted out of office, or once you are termed out of office, you should be required to spend at least as many years in the private sector as you did in office. Prove you can be a success without being on the taxpayer dole.

Professional Political class? I've seen lots of career politicians but have never seen a Professional one. Didn't even know there was a school or program to train them to be Professionals at governance.
