    Thoughts on Christie

I have noticed he has taken a lot of flak recently for agreeing with President Obama or praising when President Obama does something that is positive. I just want to know what your thoughts are about him. Is it so bad that Democrats and Republicans praise each other and defend a certain aspect of another?

Not at all. Christie shouldn't be catching any flak for that, he did nothing wrong, he praised a man at a time when he deserved praise.

It's a very good strategy to praise and acknowledge your opponents. It's easier to respect flexibility than it is to respect hyper-partisanship.

I wish I could've vote for multiple options. I like both his politics, and his brash outspokenness. We need a lot more no bull**** politicians in this country.

I dislike his political views, but I applaud him for his willingness to step out of the party's line and call the GOP on whatever bull**** he sees.

I used to think Christie was the worst kind of GOP hack and bully. His speech at the GOP convention was odious. But he stepped up to the plate on Sandy, worked hard, did what was right, bucked his despicable party. I admire his recent conduct in that regard and hope he keeps it up.

I don't see a reason why you can't praise and support a political rival when they're right about something.

When democrats and liberals attacked Christie's weight 'conservatives' rushed to defend the rather girthy Republican.

So I am amazed to see this post...

Christie is a politician, he does what he does to get/stay in office. Be it attacking public unions, or his own party when it attempting to short sheet national disaster funding with 'offsets'...
