I hold a faint, perhaps forlorn, hope the GOP comes back to the mainstream of politics and I also believe it is painfully obvious that neither extreme wing can get elected, the Dems couldn't back in Nixon's day and the TPs couldn't get any of their myriad of clumsy candidates past the primaries and so warped the party platform the survivor was damaged goods.
No idea who can be a strong moderate and carve out the middle for a victory, but I doubt Christie sees jumping ship as the winning strategy...
Another thought I have about Christie is that if he does become president, he'll have the nicest titties of any president since Taft.

The sad part about all of this is that so many people immediately attempt to classify a guy as a traitor or moderate when really all said guy is doing is expressing his honest opinion. I think it shows just how polarized of a country we live in.
