I want to hear about Sheriffs who will refuse to enforce any such ban. I want to hear about safe-haven pro-gun states. I want to hear about what, exactly, the NRA is doing to repeal the 1987 Gun Control Act.

But the crickets....they are chirpin....

OH! "bama'money...from his stash....

You couldn't even stop a ****ing community organizer (whatever he **** that's supposed to be) from taking office TWICE but you think you can stop him from confiscating da'white ma'anz guns and getting him sum reparations. HA! To ****ing late bitches!

You didn't vote. We lost the election because you didn't get off your ass and vote. If we had turned out Obama would be history. Your lazy ass stayed at home, so STFU. You chose to pay for poor people's loto tickets and Patron. This is what you wanted. You chose not to keep your gun, you chose not to keep your income, you chose to give everything away when you chose to stay at home. And now you talk big like you're gona stand up to the police when they come to do what you told them they could do when you didn't vote? HA! I don't ****ing think so. You pussed out when it was time to vote, you'll puss out when it's time to turn your guns in, too.

This is the future of 'merica:

I beg for the days when only people who had an investment in the country were allowed to vote. Land owners. Maybe we could modify that to allow medical professionals, non-union teachers, police, fire, and honorable military, but it won't ever happen. Equality[sup]TM[/sup] rules the day.

OBAMA'PHONE!!
So what you are saying is that we are going to have a civil war because a whacked lady holding a sign says she got a phone?

I guess I should agree with you on the voting thing since I own my home but nah Im not that selfish. I wouldnt worry about who is voting really America has very poor voter turn outs.

But I could see people getting really pissed if you took their voting rights away. Yea if you took voting rights and gun rights away I am pretty that if whoever did that did not get killed right away and if the politicians didnt make some changes real fast that things would get ugly real fast.

Yea know Im not seeing much difference between what you just said and the lady holding the sign.

you all disgust me. You gripe about the constitution and your right to own a gun, but if the amendment was repealed through the correct constitutional process, you would go against it. You cant claim one thing when it is convenient and then go directly against it when it doesn't work for you anymore.

I'm saying there won't be a civil war. There won't be a war because there won't be any resistance. Not from you, not from anyone. The token few who resist will pale in comparison to the base-level crime rate. You won't even be noticed. There won't be a civil war.

I guess I should agree with you on the voting thing since I own my home but nah Im not that selfish.
 You don't own your home. That's something you'll find out when America defaults on it's debt and the government seizes personal assets to pay for it. You may have some pretty paper with your name on it, but you don't own a damn thing.

Yea know Im not seeing much difference between what you just said and the lady holding the sign.
Obama'Phone!!!

Get real- at best they MIGHT get some of them first but give you soooo many more back.

That really depends on the delivery mechanizim.

Well of course there will not be a Civil War any time soon. But that is because there is a reason for one.

I legally own my home your conspiracy theories dont change that fact over here in reality land. I dont mean to be rude but you should take a step back and listen to yourself that is how it sounds.

Obama'Phone!!!
lol Damn where do I get one of those Obama phones? I didnt vote for him but I want one anyways.

Confiscation Acts of 1861 and '62. Gold Confiscation Act of 1933. Eminent domain is a real bitch. The state ultimately holds your title, and they can revoke it at any time. You're just a chip on the table, the State can cash you in.

Yeah more tough-talk. You're full of it. You won't pull the trigger. You know it, I know it. You won't do it. When the cop is there in the flesh, you'll puss out. When the NG shows up, you won't pull the trigger because if you do your whole family will die by the .50cal parked in the street. You won't do it. You'll hand in your guns to save them.

And no, it won't be me on the .50cal. I'll refuse the order and be in Fort Leavenworth with some buddies, but others will obey the order.

You won't do it.

If they came to my house Jerry your right I would give them what I have and allow them to poke in my yard. Look on computer even. Hell let em intrerogate me and mine. Let them satistfy themselves I am perfectly harmless.;)

Maybe thats why they want unarmed people.

Exactly who are they going to sell the houses to once they take them all?

I would wager that about 95% of the people on this thread who say stuff like "they'd have to pry it......etc etc" "they'd get shot first" "yada yada yada" would give the guns up anyway. When you are in your home, a cop shows up and says "Either give me the guns or you are going to jail" these guys whole life would flash before their eyes (losing job, home, vehicles, being seperated from family, etc) and they'd hand them over and live to fight another day. Or, they would do what I would do and hide them. That would be the smarter course of action.

Well its a good thing that I am not a Confederate.

And the gold was bought not taken.

All in all both do not mean that the state can take my house to pay off the national debt.

Why all the dishonest Conspiracy talk all the sudden? Seems out of character.

Who has treasury bond?

But they are not redeemable in real estate. I wish they were though. Still gotta find some person place or thing to give you the Benjamins. They'll just print the money before they'd do something that stupid.

Jerry, you've managed to change my opinion of you in just one thread.

Most people seem to assume that most of America is big city with loads of anti-gun people. It's not. It's mostly small town, rural. Where the local cops are your buddies at the local range, or come to your property to shoot. They are neither reporting people or confiscating anything from them.

There's more US dollars than can ever be printed. It's mostly virtual numbers, not actual money.

First, I don't think is a realistic outcome of the current gun control debate. But I have seen many claim that if the day did come, that gun owners would overwhelmingly comply and hand in their guns. I request that only people who either currently own a firearm or have in the past vote in the poll, but obviously all are welcome to post and discuss it.

You are correct that it is not a realistic outcome.

As for giving them up, I have no emotional attachment to any tool, nor do I depend on tools for safety from criminals, and while I might think banning my hammer would be silly and stupid, I'm not willing to do anything more than argue how stupid it would be to do. Any one who has lived any years at all has seen stupid laws.

And before anyone brings up the constitution, I do not believe our founding fathers intended what we see today with people and guns. I agree that the amendment prevents wholesale banishment of guns, so it won't happen, but this today, I don't believe, is what hey intended.

Oh I know. We are getting $40B more non-stop thanks to QE. The government will not be taking crap to pay the Chinese though. Our money would just become increasingly and exponentially worthless.

I need a good laugh

do you honestly believe that the founders wanted the federal government to have the power to prevent honest citizens from owning the same weapons that constables and civilian sheriffs carry?

Not exactly what I said. I said they wouldn't approve of the free flow of high powered weaponry today. How the amend, ent has been used and interpreted by your side of his issue.

Of course not. The people need to be armed with militarily effective weapons. How can they form a militia without them?

well what would they say? the M16 was far more conceivable in 1790 than the internet or tv or radio was
