No, I am more of a "one shot, one kill," kinda guy. My clip (your magazine, LOL) only holds 4 rounds and I have one up in the chamber. I never even put more than 3 in the clip (your magazine,) because I know I will not need them.

I can say honestly that in the last 15 years or so, I have yet had to fire the second shot to take down my target. But that has a lot to do with my scope and my rifle.
And I slop feed my bolt guns, no need to put any rounds in the mag. Can say I never needed a follow-up shot on live targets, and having a round under is using a crutch.

Now I can't make the claim that I have always had first round hits on steel/paper targets. I use my 308 out to 1000 yards and in winds exceeding 35mph. Can be a tad challenging and humbling, but if you never miss then you are not learning anything new. A very wise idiot once said, a man can have 15 years 'experience' but if he is only using the first three years he isn't very curious. Here is to many more misses in your future, it means you are pushing your limits and learning, making those 'years of experience' mean something.

The crowd I run with doesn't have too many amateurs in it, and none use the term clip for a magazine, best of luck.

Well, that may be true as we have never met.

If the gun can handle it, I KNOW I can pull a trigger at least twice in one second. That adds up to 120 RPM.

Lemme see.... <sets stopwatch..> 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and.... Yup, I'm SURE I can squeeze off at least 100 RPM's. But that would require a pretty big and heavy clip. Not sure I could hit the side of a barn with it but I could surely pull the trigger faster than a cat can lick it's ass.
You nailed it. The sensitive triggers with quick repositioning it would be no trouble at all to get off 100. Even with a thirty clip folks who practice and have good coordination can flip out and replace a clip in a couple of heart beats. It's a technicality anyway...in Aurora the shooter killed 12 people and injured 58 others. Exactly what is it folks fail to understand? A military style, semi automatic assault weapon only has one purpose....the quick, mass killing of human beings.

It's magazine, not "clip" and what I learned from the Aurora shooting is that gun free zones are really whackjob's hunting grounds.

    6. He's Not Crazy, but pretends to be so for personal gain (i.e. an audience) and I don't take him seriously
I've moved on to a better forum (scienceforums.net). Facts matter, and I don't have the time or energy for putting up with the pretense that they don't. PM me if you'd like me to get in touch with you when I'm done developing my own forum system, likely towards the end of 2013.

    That was fun.

LMAO....a clip is a magazine. I was in the army in 1957/58 and in the TN national guards for six years after that. When I was discharged I was a tank commander on an M-48 medium Patton tank....company C, 5th Btn, 109th armored division. Check your IPOD and see if you can find that.

As far as that NRA rhetoric.....you sound like my guts growling.

Uh, no. Suggest you read more Dawkins and some game theory.

How right you are sir. He's a douche and he does what he does for money (ratings) . . . he and Pierce Morgan should form a club . . . they are the same guy looking for a different audience and all the money they can bank. Douchebaggery at it's finest.

    Re: Is Alex Jones "Crazy"?

You are correct, sir! We currently use mags. But in the old days battle rifles were reloaded using stripper clips which allowed the user to push multiple rounds down into the rifle. So, I'll give a tip of the cap, a salute as well as a free pass to the former tank commander's use of the term 'clip.'

And, as for the Aurora theater being a gun free zone, you are correct again!

In fact, there's an astounding statistic that will force all the gun control fans to re-think their entire belief system.

Economist and author John R. Lott, Jr. Ph.D found in his research for the book “More Guns Less Crime,” that school shootings increased after the law went into affect. In the same study, Lott found mass shootings are more likely to occur in so-called gun-free zones. "With just one single exception, the attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson in 2011, every public shooting since at least 1950 in the U.S. in which more than three people have been killed has taken place where citizens are not allowed to carry guns.”
