Constitution and republican are close. But if there was no constitutional or Republican Party, it's better than the greenie liberals

I suppose. But the whole top down economic model of those three parties just doesn't sit well with me - not that the Dems have a history of being that much better.

I am not sure what precisely those parties stand for, but going off names and the ideas they indicate, I'd say some combo of the Libertarian party and the Constitution party.

I voted for the Libertarian presidential candidate this most recent election, because in the end when I thought about the two main party candidates I just couldn't vote for either of the bastards.

Libertarian by far. The only thing that keeps me from being one is the overwhelming amount of atheists in the party and their propensity to push abortion off on the states.

Libertarians and Constitution are about as far-flung on social policy as you can get. Their foreign policies are essentially the same, but the Constitution Party firmly believes that America is and was intended to be a Christian nation; as such, they oppose abortion and gay marriage (both of which are supported by the LP). They want to abolish the Department of Education (I know Ron Paul supported it, but I'm not 100% sure about the Libertarians) and the Department of Health and Human Services, and they want to crack down on legal immigration (I'll opine here that America is only a great nation because of our immigrants). They want to ban pornography and gambling, and want to maintain government restrictions on drug possession.

They have some similarities, I'll grant you, especially on fiscal policy, but the Constitution Party allows religion to dictate their social policies. Note the positions of the CP candidate (Virgil Goode) against LP candidate Gary Johnson.

I suppose I figured the "Constitution party" might be....for the constitution.

None of that **** sounds like constutionally-supported issues.

That's probably the goal of the name. "Constitution Party" sounds more appealing to more people than "Theocratic Party."
