I, personally, would vote for the Greens, for a variety of reasons, foremost being the environment, civil liberties, foreign policy, and equal rights; they, unlike the Democrats, have a strong stance on promoting green energy. Unlike the Republicans, they legitimately oppose government legislating personal behavior. Unlike either party, they oppose military interventionism, and unlike the Democrats, they are willing to end the squabble over gay marriage. They're the perfect mix of social libertarianism and economic liberalism.
I don't vote for parties - I vote for people. . . I will vote for whomever I see fit to do said job and fill said role based on their views, experience and political track record.

other, although the Green party would be a strong contender if they'd tone down the zeal a bit and get more realistic about their platform.

LOL @ Platforms . . . I think people rarely read party platforms because i they did they'd be shocked. Or maybe less shocked when the president supports something. . . like as if he was in support of Nuclear energy before or something.

Agreed, completely. I prefer the Green party platform with certain exceptions (they're anti-death penalty, I'm in favor), but in the last election, I prefered the Justice Party's Rocky Anderson, because he had more experience as a leader than Jill Stein. His presentation was also a lot stronger, though at times it was hard to distinguish between his and Stein's platforms.

Usually I vote Libertarian as they represent my views the best. On occasions I've voted Republican, and only once did I vote Democrat (when I was young and it was my first vote).

I was a libertarian through-and-through until I realized their party wants to abolish the federal minimum wage. If anything will lower our nation's standard of living, its removing the minimum wage. I'm totally okay with earning $7.25 an hour and not working in a sweatshop. Still, if it were between a viable Libertarian candidate and a Republican or Democrat, I'd vote LP simply because of their foreign policy and civil liberties, especially if I knew the GOP wouldn't control Congress.

I'm glad that libertarianism finally has a chance on a place like these forums, its not everyday you see alot of politicians (especially Rs and Ds) supporting us.

None of the above, my ideal party doesn't exist. I want an actual conservative party, one that holds traditional conservative values and ideals. There are no parties like that today.

IF I was to join a part it would have to be a fusion of the Reform Party (what thier policy is not what they actually do) the Green;s without the off the wall social agenda and the Old Constitutional Democratic Party (now defunct).
