Hi Brethren,

In abortion, what God has joined together, man puts it asunder.

Our soul, man, hails from our Father God and this joins with his wife flesh in the womb of the mother and they become one person as stated in Matt.19.

So, abortion is a murder of the innocent person and the murderer get away with it. It is not fair in society who are in God but in Mammon, there are no norms and people do whatever they like. Have you come across abortions in a country where Mammon is not worshipped? No.

Do you think it should be legal? For what purpose?

As defined by Roe v. Wade, it's the law of the land and will stay that way.

If you're going to be a true anti abortionist you need to support it ALL the way period no ands or buts about it

Pro Lifers argue that fetuses do have a right to life that outweighs the right of the woman to control her fertility and her life. But many Pro Lifers support exceptions to a ban on abortion in cases of rape, incest, a threat to the woman's life, or even health. This clearly indicates that they believe the right to life of a fetus is negotiable, certainly not absolute or paramount. By compromising their "right to life" definition in order to accommodate a woman's rights, they inadvertently acknowledge that women's rights are more important than the right to life of fetuses therefore making them a pro choicer like me

Just as those who are pro abortion should be in favor of abortion up to the age of majority.

Are you pro-life?

No law should restrict a women's access to abortion.

Abortion should only be legal in cases of safety for the mother. All other cases are human rights violations in my view.

Abortion should be legal, period.

It should be legal in the case of rape, incest, safety of mother/child, or if there is some defect with the fetus. Also, it should be legal if the girl is under the age of 18.

In all other cases, ie if we're talking about an adult woman who is carrying a perfectly healthy fetus and should know better than to go get knocked up without a backup plan, she should not be allowed to haphazardly end a life.

I want to live in a culture that has a healthy respect for life, and a sense of personal responsibility.

Do you think it should be legal? For what purpose?

Abortion should be legal on demand up to 20 weeks gestation. After that, it should only be legal if the mother's life or health are at serious risk by continuing the pregnancy or if the fetus is not viable. There are probably some other grey areas where I'd be okay with abortion after 20 weeks if the mother's health wasn't at risk, but those would be extremely rare, and could be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Can't really answer the poll.

Yeah another choice could probably be "other" sorry :/

Legal upon request...... Its the woman's body, she should do what she wants with her own body.

I think abortion is a medical issue that should be kept confidential between a woman and her medical practitioners.

In a near perfect world, abortion could be, should be illegal, as it is murder.. of that child inside a woman.
This world is far, very far, from perfect.
We have to do what works best.

Here we go, the bi-monthly regurgitation of the "Should Abortion Be Legal?" poll. Don't you guys get tired of debating this? I don't think I've heard one person change their mind or concede on an abortion argument in over a year of being on this website. Pretty sure it won't happen now. The only people these polls attract are 1) Noobs 2) Haters 3) People who make fun of people for recycling threads (me).

If you want a healthy respect for life, we probably shouldn't view having a baby as a consequence.

I completely agree that any woman--or man for that matter--has full right to do what they want to their own bodies, but the argument from most pro-lifers is that the fetus is not the woman's body.

Or an unborn child as a disposable non-person that can be killed at will with no legal issues.

The issue is one of the most debated in the world :peace

Do babies magically appear out of thin air? Of course having a baby is a consequence. It's a consequence of unprotected sex, usually.

I voted "Available upon request" but only because there was no answer that fit my view and this was the most close.

The only factual, rational and logical way to have equal rights and human rights in the abortion debate is pro-choice with limits.

First off theres ZERO ways to make it equal, due to where the ZEF resides and how it comes to term its impossible, there are TWO lives involved and one will ALWAYS make a sacrifice for the other.

Many people may disagree about the times frame but pro-choice up to 20 weeks is the most equal and fair with each case being up for debate afterwards.

Pro-life with little to no acceptations violates the womans rights and views her as a lesser
Pro-choice with no restrictions does the same in the opposite fashion.

I oppose abortion unless the baby had died in the womb or two doctors not regularly associated in practice with each other certify that the mother will die in less than 24 hours if the baby is not aborted. I do not consider the baby a baby until it has cleared the tube so non-viable tubal pregnancies would not need approval to be terminated by my standard. I oppose all late-term abortions if the fetus is alive. If the mother is in distress, the baby should be delivered, not aborted.

only to be used when it comes too rape, incest, safety of mother/child, also u made that choice to have sex which means u made the choice to have a child, people need to be responsible.
