    You and the Status Quo

If you voted in the 2012 US election, how many incumbents did you vote for?

    My number: ZERO

I am apparently too daft to figure out how to give you buttons with numbers beside them but I will assume people are smart enough to figure out numbers on their own.

Many, actually. I voted for the loser in the Presidential election, voted for the incumbent Party (Democrat) in one of the Senate seats, the incumbent Party (Republican) with the other Senate seat, voted for folks at the local level that have been of the same Party or had been previously in the post.

One. My Congressman. I read the bio of the opposing candidate and it sounded too much like a welfare liberals resume. While I would of liked to go anti-incumbent, I just couldn't go that far.

Also, with Obama re-elected, I have no problem with the status quo as I think we would be a lot worse off letting the left have unfettered control. Sure I wish he would of lost, but I didn't really hold out a lot of hope for that. Also, I could hope for a Congress that would hold him accountable and uphold checks and balances, but I didn't see that as a possibility either.

Over all, I chose deadlock over letting the left full reign. I personally feel it is better for the country. Next election, going to do the same. Without moderate options, I simply cannot convince myself that giving the Dems full control is better than deadlock.

Why would anyone vote against Eleanor Holmes Norton?

I had to vote for one; Pelosi was practically best friends and personally supporting my incumbant Republican and any
woman that says she needs to pass a law before reading it does not need another crony behind her.

Of the major races, none. There were some local races where there were people running unopposed so I had no choice.
