Absolutely not, and neither should the idiot in chief we have now. We should not spend another frivilous dollar until unemployment is below 4%.

Lol! I found this and found it a little bit funny.

Should George W. Bush be put on Mount Rushmore?

Only as Roman criminals were placed on the Tarpeian Rock - to be thrown off into the depths beneath to pay for their crimes.

Not at all.

I do'nt think it needs to be "added" to at all. However, if you would I would suggest it'd be adding FDR and Reagan.

Not only no but HELL ON A POPSICLE STICK NO. AND THEN IF YOU DID NOT HEAR NO

Sure, why not. Lincoln's up there, and he was among the worst presidents in history. He was an absolute despot that committed war crimes left and right.

My face should be on Mt. Rushmore, I'm adorable. Who wants to stare at ugly old men in larger than life size.

Do you look like Jessica Alba? If so, I'll go to bat for your campaign.

 I get Meg Ryan when she was young and Carrie Underwood a lot.

I've seen Mount Rushmore. It is certainly impressive.

Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln were certainly huge figures in our history. Teddy Roosevelt... well he was quite an interesting character but not of the same magnitude as the others.

Personally I am not sure it should ever have been built though. I felt about it much the same way I felt when I stood in the Lincoln Memorial in DC.... yes it is impressive, but I feel uncomfortable about portraying human beings, however important, as larger-than-life demigod-like figures. It smacks of idolatry to me.

I don't think W is of the same caliber as Washington, Jefferson or Lincoln. Now, Teddy.... well, I found the guy fascinating but he just isn't in the same league. You could compare W to Teddy and they wouldn't be that far apart in magnitude.

But no, I don't favor putting any more faces on Mt Rushmore.
I understand your reasoning, and somewhat agree with it. I am somewhat uncomfortable with an idolatry aspect.

As a side note: While I agree that Teddy was wasn't quite the same league as the other three, I do still consider him as one of our better Presidents, and when considering the time in which the carvings were created, I understand his inclusion over other potential candidates.

That being said, I consider Teddy's methods in securing the independence of Panama... which was only a way to get our securing of the canal zone... as repugnant.

I wish this poll was public so anybody that answers yes could quickly be added to my list of posters that are biased hacks and not to be taken seriously.
He was one of the worst presidents of my time
I really think public polling would more reveal who understands sarcasm when they see it and those who don't.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth by those on the left would be worth it alone for the entertainment value.

Not for that, but because I imagine an expression similar to this: bush_stupid_face.jpg

Most memeable president of all time. Meme the ****ing world.

doubtful because many have acknowledged it as a joke poll but theres no set standard for how to respond to it lol, a couple posted they answered yes because a joke poll deserves a joke answer many others feel the same way

*Created* treason?

Could you explain that a bit more?

Sure. He drummed up the lies about Iraq and WMDs and such lies "created" treason.

They put the wrong Roosevelt up there in my opinion. FDR deserves his own memorial to make up for it.
Bush is best forgotten as soon as we clean up the mess he made.
The lesson is beware those that don't get the popular vote. We were punished soundly for that mistake.

Here's a recently completed one in NYC (designed by an architect in 1973, completed after he passed away). I don't think this is the same one I was thinking about. There was one where they were going to have a statue of FDR sitting on a wheelchair, extending his hand to a young boy. It could be on this memorial, but I don't think so.

He does have one.

Another is on the way, as well.
You are right and it is a pretty impressive one at that. As it should be. Here are his 4 freedoms etched in stone for eternity.
