right now, I'd put Rubio as the frontrunner, if there is such a thing less than a month after the election. this speculation is somewhat meaningless for at least another year or two, though.
    That's a good analysis.

Hell no. Nope nope nope. No way. The Republicans need to rethink their whole national strategy and going with Paul Ryan is not the way to go..

Personally I don't think it will matter if the RNC does not change its song and dance on social issues. Gez look at the lord bishop of conservatives and what he is saying now. Pro GW, evolution, Pot, saying nice things about non baptists. Holy cow.

If they find a real moderate or close to it who can actuallyu stick to his/her opinions then I say they have a shot. If they carryon with this other nonsense then no way at all

Probably Portman since his was the name that everybody mentioned as the alternative to Ryan.

Ryan needs to hire the people who ran Ron Puals' online efforts the past 5 years
because they do a great job on line, and he needs that right not to build a base.

He needs to step out as a defacto leader of the Tea Party movement and almost
separate himself from the RNC some what; he can do that by promoting a flatter
income tax than the convaluted system we have today - people want a better
tax system they just don't want it to cost them more.

And he needs to begin raising money like the campaign was still on.

Ryan is a fiscal guy and after 4 more years of the obamanomic mess the people
will be looking for fiscal sanity. He can resonate as a leader in that role.

Romney got his ass beat for a variety of reasons, one of which was appearing dishonest.

Ryan earned his nickname Lyin' Ryan. And his budget proposals shaft the economy by damaging non-healthcare sectors by sucking out money with a plan that is in no way even remotely capable of keeping disbursements to healthcare costs. Not to mention his own budget plan increases the deficit. Plus he holds the same beliefs as Akins on abortion, not to mention anti-gay marriage beliefs.

A proven liar, with a plan that screws over people and the economy, raises the deficit by trading safety net for rich tax cuts, has extremely conservative social beliefs. Good luck with that.
