No it isn't. As I mentioned in my previous post, there are other places we can get the funds from.

at the current rate, id be shocked if i ever see any money from SS. SS needs to be eliminated altogether. If you didnt manage your funds responsably when you were young, its not my fault and it shouldnt be my problem
don';t confuse the Bush administation with Republicans, he and his lackeys are an embarassment to the GOP.

I would be content if they refunded me all of my money I have contributed to my social security and then just shut it down. But we all know that ain't gonna happen.

Eliminate SS and watch the country go up in flames. I have no doubt that would start a massive revolution amongst the population.

Years back I saw a factoid that said there're more folks from my generation, X, who believe in alien abductions than who believe they will get anything from SS.

Not sure what to make of that.
    I may be wrong.

Now I know since I'm younger that this is an easier question for me but for older members of society would you be willing to end this ridiculous plan? I'm sorry it's a damn albatross around the neck of the economy, and the government has no bussiness in wealth redistribution; if I'm broke when i'm old then that's my fault not the next generations I mean shouldn't you have to atleast serve the government before you get entidlements, IE veteran benefits? (no ****ing with them.) I feel if one has sacrificed his blood for America then his treasure should never be spent by Americans (blood and treasure) BTW all of our treasure would be traded for one speck of American blood.
SS isn't perfect and needs some adjustment, and mostly we need the Republicans to stop borrowing all its funds, but SS has worked great. Why would you want to get rid of it?

The Govt doesn't accumulate liablities from SS because SS has been running in the read. SS taxes have exceeded SS payments by about $2 trillion over the past 20 years. The Govt has liabilities because those SS assets have been stolen to finance the Republican debt.

and yes, I will gladly give up my SS. odds are, at the current pace I wont be able to get it untill im 85 anyway.
Disagree, how much they can afford it is completely relevant.
