The problem I have with Libertarians is that they don't seem to understand that I do understand their philosophy.

    I just don't like it.

Same here. I don't agree with a lot of what they say, therefore I won't vote for them.

Whatever you say...I was giving my view as a 3rd party person. There are other 3rd parties out there that go against Libertarianism. Look at the Green Party for instance.

Yes, and I don't like them either because their vague generalities don't hold enough substance for me. I wouldn't vote for a socialist (an actual socialist, not the de-jour definition the right has), a Green Party member or pretty much any other 3rd party out there. They're all jelly, no toast.

Have you actually looked into them? Went to their websites...saw their issues?

It seems like to me that you are making an opinion without looking into it.

Look at the picture I posted:

Arrogant: You've clearly never read the evidence.

Again, I have - don't much care for it. It's simplistic.

I have, I've looked in-depth at all of the 3rd parties that were running Presidential candidates this year and I have massive disagreements with every single platform out there.

At least you looked into it and found it wasn't for you.

Otherwise, the President would be largely ignored, they could veto up a storm and grind the government to a halt or, more likely, they'd end up going along with the majority party and it would be business as usual.
    I agree.

    1. Change, real change, would happen. They would be beholden to nobody.
    2. Pretty much the same thing as always. They'd still have to compromise.
    3. Gridlock even worse than we have seen thus far. They'd have no friends and both parties would team up to thwart them.

The question presumes they would not have independent or members of their party on Congress of any size on which to rely.
I don't think modern humans are capable of electing good leaders.
Not right now, if a "good" leader were elected, it would of been by total accident.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.
