Most likely not. There are too many different beliefs (political/religious) for us all to be a part of the same government.

The first step would have to be for the US President to usurp all national power. I hear Barack Obama might be willing to accept that mantle if enough brainless minions get in his camp....

Nope too many world interests to form one world gov. Very unrealistic chance of ever happening.

Ever is an incredibly long time.

With respect, there is no possible way I or anyone else can accurately answer that question within the near future.

I think that Global Warming will focus the world against a common enemy and a World gov't will be the only viable alternative to achieve common goals.

People aren't smart enough to have a global government, at least not yet.
We can barely handle a national government, as it is.
I was discovering that life just simply isn't fair and bask in the unsung glory of knowing that each obstacle overcome along the way only adds to the satisfaction in the end. Nothing great, after all, was ever accomplished by anyone sulking in his or her misery.

Again, your statement is that AMERICANS in general are talking about secession. This isn't even close to being true. It's 3 cats in an alley bitching cause they lost in an election.

I never suggested that they would be smart, just united against a common enemy. I'd never accuse humanity of being smart collectively.

It will take about 1000 years, but I think the world will end up with one government.
Scientific fact: If you took all of the veins from your body and laid them end to end, you would die.
