LOL! Seriously? OF COURSE the politicians wouldn't make such comments. They are not STUPID! They are MUCH more intelligent than poor old Uncle Ted! That is just ANOTHER reason as to why your outrage is stupid.

It's different because Ted Nugent is not a representative of the United States government!!! He is only a citizen. It's a pretty simple concept.

Why would anyone believe he was either going to die OR goe to jail when Obama won? Why would anyone believe anything a compulsive liar has to say?

Ted can do what Ted's gotta do. It's a free country. If the NRA supporters want someone like him to identify with it says more about them than it does about Ted.

What Ted said that I find the most repulsive is when he said, "Do you think I was gonna lay down my guitar and go play army? Give me a break! I was busy doin' it to it. I had a career, Jack! If I was walkin' around, hippying down, getting' loaded and pickin' my ass like your common curs, I'd say "Hey yeah, go in the army. Beats the poop out of scuffin' around in the gutters." But I wasn't a gutter dog. I was a hard workin', mother****in' rock and roll musician. See, I approached the whole thing like, Ted Nugent, cool hard-workin' dude, is gonna wreak havoc on these imbeciles in the armed forces. I'm gonna play their own game, and I'm gonna destroy 'em."

This is a direct slap-in-the-face to all of our men and women in uniform dedicating their lives to serve our country.

The last people in the world I would have expected to ever support Ted Nugent are the one's who are supporting him. Stange times we live in.
 
Every time I go to the urinal at the American Legion I go on the sticker of Jane Fonda. I dont think Ted is a whole lot better.

I certainly hope so. He is such an asshole. A coworker of mine in Michigan was a neighbor of this loon and she said he was constantly shooting his guns at nothing and claiming THEY were coming to take his guns. too many drugs and NRA bull****.

Nice to see someone with an appreciation of Uncle Ted.

His property was like less than 2 hours from where I lived. I always wanted to go meet him and say hi, and tell him how I admired his music and ideas.

Gun control, mostly. I also love his music and the fact that he doesn't give a damn what you or I say or think.

He also has a realistic view of today's Democratic party.
 
If Ted was what he makes himself out to be...he'd already be in jail or dead. He talks the talk...but apparently doesn't walk the walk.
 
I am a gun nut too, but Ted is a draft dodger. I think of him and Jane Fonda when I think of... well I know I go on about his but so I will stop now. Other than that I have some wonderful memories of his concerts. I just dont understand how the RW can put Ted on such a pedestal.
 
He will refuse the mandatory registration, then either die fighting confiscating jackbooted thugs or spend the rest of his life in prison for the felonies of said refusal.

If they tried to draft me to fight for the sakes of Haliburton or so some company can make millions selling sand to ship to Iraq for volleyball I would be a draft dodger too. I'm not killing or dying for any such bull****.

I have no resentment for draft dodgers and nothing but contempt for the draft and war profiteers. "This country's enemies" my ass.

If it wasnt for those of us who would go to war for this country, you and Uncle Ted would not be able to wax poetic about liberty or guns.

Hell, while I do not necessarily believe the draft should be an automatic requirement to serve in the Armed Forces, because there are other ways to serve, I believe there should be a minimum of 2-years of national service . . . anytime between the ages of 18-28. No education deferments, period . . . you want to go to school, fine, you have until age 28. It would do wonders for the character of this nation.
