    Is this band so freakin' genius they might have created a new genre?

    Okay ... after the election we need something lighter ...yet this is a treat. I love discovering under the radar music and I love Portishead.

    This song came out in 1994. I'm not sure who started the genre...I'm thinking "The Orb". A lot of other groups like Massive Attack came out around the same time, popularizing the sound. I like it.

    This is one of the first songs that started the electronica movement of the '90s. The Orb "Little Fluffy Clouds". They got sued for sampling the woman's voice in the song.

    Well Im finding any unusual talent in instruments. Vocals are meh. Its like a very boring version of this.....

    I love Portishead and other indie/non-mainstream bands too. They're up there with Massive Attack as my favorite trip hop group.
