New star wars: Iii.5 or vii?

Star Wars III.5 or Star Wars VII

Disney will rock star wars. 70% of all of their animators are MONSTER star wars fans. I went to college with more than a few of those animators.

As for the question posed...To be honest, I wanna see 7, as opposed to 3.5. Just get an all new cast. I think that Fassbender dude could rock it.

The quality of the filmmaking itself is not the worrisome issue here.

Rather, the writing of the storylines is.

Just look at what Disney did to "Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles." Or how subpar their animated movies have become. Or "John Carter of Mars."

I agree that George Lucas was a crappy writer. But at least he gave the whole Star Wars universe a singular vision, one that is best when he's the producer, as seen in the high quality stories of "Clone Wars" tv show.

With Disney, such storylines made be under too much pressure of committees, or too many people wanting to put in their own idea in the story, no matter how well or badly it might fit. And so the result could be closer to "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen."

A couple of buddies and I are Star Wars fanatics. Not on the level of Big Bang Theory Sheldon Cooper fanatic, but, maybe a few steps below. We have been debating whether Disney (who just bought Lucas Films if you live under a rock) should come out with an episode that involves the time between Star Wars III and Star Wars IV or Star Wars VII. They plan to release a brand new episode in 2015 and leaks have said it will be Star Wars VII. However, I believe that is a mistake. While the entire original cast has said they would do the movie......have you seen Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher lately? They've aged a little. Harrison Ford could still pull it off but those 2are hurtin. Anyway, my opinion is that they should make a Star Wars III.5 if you will. There is so much that can be be covered during that time period and it would have Darth Vader in it. They could use that to jump start the interest in the franchise again (because everyone knows Vader) and then go on with making the later ones. So, what say you. Would rather a Star Wars III.5 or Star Wars VII?
Any Star Wars film is good news as far as I'm concerned. I thought that Universe would die with George Lucas.

Maybe they can do a real one that shows how honest the Sith is, in comparison to the Jedi.

Anakin saw through the lies of the Jedi...how come everyone else can't?

Problem is, the expanded universe is canon, and if Disney start ****ing with canon, they will get bombed by angry fanboys dressed as C3PO.

Star Wars is one of those things that the more they mess with it, the more they screw it up. The original trilogy was magic. I still watch the darned things, and they never get old. The "prequel" just sucked. Lousy acting, lousy scripts, lousy stories, a mere shadow of the original. Desperately disappointing. I haven't been able to even stomach the thought of watching any of them a second time.

If Disney can restore the magic of that universe far-far away, more power to them. But color me skeptical.
